I have decided to pull the pin on this development. My customer service girl is being sworn at, abused by people who obviously are against this development. Yes all calls are recorded at Cr1. They will be dealt with by the authorities. Also the amount of nasty emails and messages I'm getting over this is unreal. I work for one day on the sim, make a start how ever small it was in a direction that one else was able to do or wasn't doing and wham I get all this hate. Well the gig is cancelled. I don't need this kind of head ache...seriously. I also think its time for me to concentrate on my new projects, If people don't want this or have nothing better to do then bash designers then let the community die i guess because who needs it. Its probably time for me to retire from this...

Posting this here in case it helps anyone with an ongoing issue I've had for 3 or 4 years now. After building my new rig a few years ago all went very well. Until my Pioneer BD-R drive decided to vanish for no good reason. Drive was a good drive, tested in other rigs, Bios saw it, Windows 10 did not. Maybe I'm old school but I still like to back up stuff, and record-able Blurays seemed ideal a few years ago. The drive worked flawlessly on my previous rig. It initailly was recognised on my new W10 rig, but I never had need to use it until I tried months later. Lo-and-behold W10 decided not to recognise it. Tried all the tricks I found online to get it working, but the only thing I found 'worked' was to leave a BluRay movie disc (Pacific Rim as it happens) in the drive. Cool. Not...

Well maybe if you’re were an adult instead of replying with filthy language like a redneck wasted on cheap beer, you’d handle it. i don’t think what I saw is that great and think it’s average at best. Welcome to the real world. It’s called observation, not ‘being a hater’. Constructive criticism can be a good thing. If you’re humble. :)

A word of caution on editing airfiles Adjusting this normal affects this and that so that you have to adjust that to get the other this right. It's a rabbit hole sometimes. Ultimately all flight models are a compromise on reality. You have to choose which performance inaccuracies you can live with. Getting it 100% correct is not going to happen.

You have to make the changes in the airfile. You will need a program called Aircraft Airfile Manager V1.0 for FS9 and 2.2 for FSX Table 1101 Section (INT 16_2) Cdo Drag Coefficient - Zero Lift Cd_df Drag Coefficient - Landing Gear Cdg Drag Coefficient - Spoiler

IS there a way to adjust the drag on an aircraft? The Challenger model tends to accelerate faster than real life in both takeoff as well as descents. I have been looking at the aircraft config and Im not really sure what Im looking at. Any help would be great. Is there a website that explains the variables? Thanks, Sean

Putting this on hold for a (short) while I get some stuff sorted out, sorry guys. Technology not playing along at my end. Windows 10 and optical drives seems to be at the heart of it, not for the first time. ATB, Jamie

Hi Priller, Yes, I see, but what confused me was the existence of a Effects folder. No problem! NC

Happy to see that you have W10. Anyone else using MSFS2020 on W7? My philosophy with FPS is; use it if you have problems, not as an end by itself. Human eye is very easy to trick into seeing fluid motion. If 24 fps was good enough for Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, it should be good enough for most MSFS2020 flying. Of course, if your thing is making slalom on NY 52nd street between lamp post...

Guzler, look at my post #669 in this thread. You'll find a link to the legacy importer. Most native FSX/P3D planes will work, but there are gauges problems with a lot of the planes. Externally, they'll work 95%. Cheers, Priller

Hi Chief, Normally, in the zip you should find two folders: Fokker D.21 1938 Fokker D.21 1940 Put those two in the community folder. That really is it. Cheers,
