A highly detailed scenery of RAF Lakenheath was released today by Ian McCartny, who also did the brilliant RAF Coningsby scenery. It is available here: Lakenheath is home to the USAF 48th Fighter Wing, operating F-15 Eagles. When installing this scenery, make sure you delete the previously-released Lakenheath scenery (by a different developer) if you have had it installed.

Hello all, I purchased two different aircraft from this recent sale that Carenado is having, which were the Citation S550 and Citation 525 CJ2. I followed the instructions on the install and when I load the S550, it works perfect staying in the 30 fps range. But when I load the CJ2, it is bogged down around in the 2 fps range and everything lags super bad making it un-flyable. I contacted support, as well, but I was curious if anyone here had some input on how to fix this? Also, I am having a similar problem with fps with the Cirrus SR-22 from Carenado, the fps on that one stays around 10-15 which is somewhat doable, but not enjoyable. Any suggestions for a fix for the Cirrus? Thanks, Goshawk45

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Campaigns Add-Ons Description: Captain Eddie V. Rickenbacker was the most successful American fighter ace of World War I, with 26 aerial victories. In the Rickenbacker Campaign, you will fly 24 Captain Rickenbacker's combat missions with the USAS 94th Aero Squadron, against Germany in the skies over Europe. Although America's involvement in the war was much shorter than the French and English, the American aviators still made a fighting reputation for themselves. The campaign is designed to complement / integrate with the Aerocrate WWI theater. To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit Eddie Rickenbacker Fighting the Flying Circus Campaign The comments you make there will appear in the posts below.

Hello everyone, I'm pleased to find this community of gamers still actively supporting CFS3! I'm obviously new, and have a "newbie" question. I have the 2002 Microsoft 2 DVD version 1.0 installed on my D:/ drive (I'm familiar with the pitfalls of installing older games into the Program Files/Program Files (x86) folders of the C:/ drive). I have a capable gaming laptop, with 64bit Windows 10 OS updated to the latest version. Running the game in Vista (Service Pack 2) Compatibility. Successfully updating to v3.1 went as expected, however attempting to update from the downloaded (from this site) CFS3 Aircraft Update v3.1a has proven less than agreeable. The zipped file ACUpdate.exe provides the following: "Update Aborted"? Without an included Readme or further instruction, I'm at a...

So MSCENERY, with their terrible chromed F/A-18C Hornet, has dropped a new payware MiG-15 on simmarket. It's hilarious because the exact same aircraft is uploaded as a freeware on by a developer as a WIP. Model looks good, cockpit needs a little work, Flight Model needs some work and external model needs a pilot visible. After some work though, it will be a great addon (dare I say almost decent payware quality considering what's being brought to MSFS payware market by some lately (subpar aircraft like Eurofighter/Hornet/Bandeirante/737) Anyway, found it not buy it cause it's available for free. Check it out.

Well I made it for 21 years in flight sim and game design. So Im going to dump the price for two weeks on the Ford Tri Motor and Aeronca to $2.00 per add on! If you don't have these then you can get them for almost free for a limited time. These are set for all versions of FSX AND Steam Fsx. All versions of P3D. :) The site has been set over the weekend and has it there as well. Thanks for the 21 years of support and look forward to a few pictures of a new add on that is coming up soon! Have fun in the virtual blue!

Hallo friends, the readme of the Alphasim says that the weapons can be droped via the tailhook key I have put a switch with this function in the 2D panel, but no reactions even the t (tailhook) on he keboard shows no reaction. The only way to drop the weapons is via a big lever at the top of the cabin in the VC Is this bug known? is there a solution to drop the weapons via a switch or lever to add in the 2D panel? Yours Papi

Recently I decided to have another go at the Folland Gnat. Six Years ago I was apparently on the cusp of releasing an extensive update for the Gnat and then for some reason I stopped and never finished it (found the original thread from that time). Anyway. I am at a point where I am replacing the fuzzy avionics art that was in it with crisp replacements and there are some gauges that I cannot find (The Trim System for one) and I was hoping that "Avialogs" would surely have plenty on the Gnat. . .not a single page, lol. I've tried looking through images using every search wording I can think of. No one takes close-up photos of cockpits, they seem to prefer what I call "Artsy Fartsy" glamour shots. . .of no use at all unless you want to see what a cockpit looks like from 20' away, lol....

In recent days, many (most? all?) MSFS users have been confronted while in flight by a message that "Your packages need updating" and giving you a choice of Yes (to go back to the sign-in screen and restore online function) or No. If you pick No, the sim boots you offline and you get to experience the nostalgia of flying over the FSX world, with no access to online functions. If you pick Yes, the sim does nothing for a long time, with no progress or status bar, making you think it might have crashed. Then it resets your sim, having wiped your log to zero hours, returned most of your options and settings to defaults, and it is not clear what else it wipes. It does not, thank goodness, uninstall your mods or delete your controller settings. I got the error a few times over the...

One of the most beautiful aircraft ever built: The Hawker Hunter. Dave Garwood made a nearly complete series covering nearly all models. However I'm not able to install them anymore. When I run the automatic installer in creates an empty folder inside the aircraft folder and the installation ends in several error messages. I think Windows10 doesn't allow the way the installer works. I have looked at Classic British Flight Sim site, but the single seat FS9 models are not longer available there. I managed to save the F6 version from my old PC. Any hints or tips? Cheers, Huub
