I suppose it depends if an editor is interested in publishing into the XBox market. What did PMDG say about their DC6 ? Do they intend to make it avaiable for XBox users ? (or is it already available?) Does that plane use any external module/program to run ?

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Scenery Description: This is an accurate rendition of the airport with many buildings custom-made but I took license to use some FSX generic buildings in some places. I DID plot out the roads accurately and placed houses where there are houses. There are a lot of custom Sketchup hangers and buildings so I did do a lot of work on it. They are quite accurate from Google Map street photos. To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit Gun Barrel City Airpark Texas The comments you make there will appear in the posts below.

Yes it is native FSX and the gauges are all xml so they work if both 32bit and 64bit P3D's. I have it in my v5 hanger but I haven't flown it in a long time.

Assuming it is the Flying Iron P-38L, In File Manager, search your Community folder for Flying Iron, P-38 & see if anything turns up there. Also check if you have a Flying Iron A/C in case you got it from them. T43

I have been playing with IRIS Eagle lately. Model is still amazing, but stock texture are a bit dated. Some WIP pics, more to come ! Planning on a few USAF scheme, but will focus on JSDAF J/DJ variant with an astonishing number of anniversary/special liveries. I won't cover them all !

I'm really happy this has now come to msfs, I had it in FSX and P3D and always enjoyed slow sight seeing it allowed. With the improved msfs vfr visuals this should be a treat.

Has anyone see a response from PMDG about Aerosoft's comments.? We might have to see what happens with their 737 and its associated systems to understand what the future might bring. :dizzy:

Hi everone would like to buy this bird (Bo-105) but it's rather old design from 2008 and only specified for FSX. Before I waste my money, has it someone successfully running in P3D5? Is it native FSX or maybe FS9? (If someone could open the mdl in text editor checking the first line) Thanks and regards

I just finished creating photoreal tiles background for 74XA in SBuilder just to see how it looks. I can see how Google Earth and FSX are so different because in researching I found that Gun Barrel City didn't really develop until 2010 well after FS9 and FSX scenery was created. In FSX the background is a lot of farmland which it probably was with Harbor Point Airport there too. Anyway when I looked at the PR in FSX from the air it looks good BUT nothing is aligned at all and I choose not to start from scratch with it so I am releasing it as it is no photoreal. Be sure to carefully do the README or you will have issues with conflicts with default FSX. I don't know about P3D versions. I have just uploaded the complete package in the Warbirds Library.

The Forrestal is already available to all in the mission editor. Just put it in a mission and start a flight on her deck. Not sure if it is the stable or open beta version only though (I use open beta). You can check in the mission editor if you have the ability place it as a ship. currently it does not have the Supercarrier features, i.e. no interactive crew, but it is nicely modeled, plus you also have a smokestack blenching black smoke! :playful:

I decided that this is "customized" enough and filled out the buildings on the Google Earth Satelitte Images I was using with FSX generic buildings just so it has buildings where there are buildings. I have custom mobile homes, hangers and other buildings that I built. Since I am not proficient at all in autogen annotator I am just putting this into FSX without photoreal scenery so that all seasons show as they should. It's interesting in the real life description of Gun Barrel City area: "The most pleasant months of the year for Gun Barrel City are October, April and May. In Gun Barrel City, there are 3 comfortable months with high temperatures in the range of 70-85. August is the hottest month for Gun Barrel City with an average high temperature of 95.0, which ranks it as about...

Jan - My understanding is that the USS Forrestal is part of the F-14 module (from Heatblur in DCS store for $$$). According to the DCS "changelog" the USS Forrestal was added in OPENBETA update 2.7.7.14727. I am running DCS openbeta (it works fine), have the F-14 module, but have never checked to see if I can land on the USS Forrestal. Perhaps if you go to F-14 missions there may be a USS Forrestal mission available for the F-14. I will check that in the future and post.

This may, or may not, be of assistance re deleting variants. It is in relation to the Kodiak, which has 4 primary variants with about 140 liveries spread across them. See the 2nd to last post. T43 https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/613748-kodiak-100-liveries-thinning-the-herd/
