Shalom and greetings all my pals, I have two questions regarding livery for Jahn C-47/DC-3 model bases please First question is that I want to know if any P3D livery for Jahn C-47/DC-3 model base can work in FSX version of the SAME model base, please? I see P3D repaints for this plane that are not available for FSX so I wonder if I can use P3D livery for FSX version of the model base? Second question is that I am wondering if any of you have Mount Cook livery for latest FSX version 3.12 Jahn C-47/DC-3 model base in your computer please that you can send to me?? I know that Adamski has in his servers but he is overswarped with his very busy real life obligations and it will take him too long time to look for it in his old servers. And I do not want to bother him again. If you...

So I've got four carriers working OK in MSFS and a few more pending. Flying Stations freeware HMS Ark Royal and Victorious (these come with usable AI plans). USS Valley Forge USS Oriskany Importing FSX carriers is pretty easy using a Python script, I can post the steps if interested. Some (Victorious) have a P3D MDL which needs ModelConverterX to replace :( Here's a video of a quick circuit and almost landing on the Valley Forge - But there are a few problems that maybe a Carrier expert could help with?

Nice airplane, as are all of Tim's creations. . . .however it doesn't seem to know what the function of an AP is. I never did find any documentation that explains how to input AP information with the VC keypad below the HUD. I added a standard AP but the airplane seems unable (or unwilling) to hold Alt or heading and that includes following a GPS track. All it does is roll left and right in a vain effort to find it's way to the correct heading and altitude is something it has no concept of either as it continuously climbs and dives, climbs and dives. I've never seen this addressed in the forums, so either I'm the only one that has this problem or everyone else either ignores it or found a fix. So, anyone who flies or has flown this airplane and was successful in getting the AP to work,...

I brought this up many months ago. To my knowledge, a fix never happened. The beautiful afterburner effect for the Aerosoft Tomcat disappeared when V5 came out. It just isn't the same without it! Do any of you know if someone found a way to fix it? Thanks, NC

double click the auto_json.exe file to open the program, click 'directory' and select the MB339 directory in your community folder (mine is called 'indiafoxtecho-indiafoxtecho_mb339pan'), click 'OK', and click 'save as' and save as layout.json. That's it, they should show up after you restart the sim.

I agree the weapons should be taken out of the Others category. I think the vehicles as well - perhaps a new category called "Weapons and Vehicles". Alternatively three categories: "Infrastructure", "Vehicles" and "Weapons", as per the SCENEDB sub-folders. The "Scenery" category would then contain mainly airfields, towns and terrain. I'm fairly sure the links remain the same when the category is changed. Rami, can you please confirm this? Regarding aircraft nationalities, the SOH CFS2 convention is for the aircraft's nationality to be the air force in which it serves. Perhaps the "ANZAC" category could be renamed "Commonwealth" and also include Canadian, South African and Indian aircraft/skins.

It could be. Btw. The model will be ready for 5.1 version also. Im waiting for email about release. Parhaps this model brings me back to P3D again :very_drunk:. In the holiday last year, I have read Night Over Water of Ken Follett. This was a good start for Clipper lovers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Over_Water . So ... cant wait.

The first ones are older, but at the end the gallery shows the updated screenies as well..... But the main thing is that they have eradicated the problem! Have fun with this new classic plane! :encouragement:

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Ships Description: FSX/Accel WWII Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet in two versions. The vessel was one of the Yorktown-class and went in service October 1942. With a length of 252 m and a with of 33 m, a speed of 32.5 knots and 2900 men crew it was a quite big and modern aircraft carrier at the Pacific war. Very famous became the Hornet due to the Doolittle Raid in April 1942 against Japan. Sixteen B-25 Mitchell bombers were carried on the decks and all made successfully take offs from the deck without any catapult. In June 1942 Hornet fought in the Battle of Midway. In October 1942 the huge ship went lost in a battle against the japanese Navy. After attacked by bombs and a big fire, Kami Kaze attacks and finally torpedo shots the...

Superb - love it, thanks Shessi, that's re-kindled my interest in FS9! Now, this might be a bit greedy of me, but is there any prospect of revamping some of Ted Cook's other superb Hawker biplanes too in the future - Demon, Hart, Fury etc?
