I've decided to continue the F7F project within this thread to keep track of it as I go. Much thanks to Milton for allowing me to update his fantastic version of this Grumman Cat! Livery work has largely been complete. But I will be going back in later in the project to add in some more details on things. But the large work on the repaints has been done. Each operator will have two liveries. Cal-Nat Airways, Sis-Q Flying Service, SV Flying Service, and TBM Inc. are the represented operators in the release. The original pack came with a TBM and Sis-Q livery done by tankerguy72. PBR has been successfully applied to the model as well now. Seen in the images below. TBM Inc : Sis-Q Flying Service:

In some airports it's crashing, and when I deleted the lines from FSX.CFG, it never crashed again. Very grateful for the tip, my FSX keeps getting better.

(Sorry for the forum cross-posting, but it's kind of relevant here as well) Does Flight Simulator 2000/Pro support splashing in the water when attempting to land/taxi in it (like previous versions of MSFS)? I know that in the previous versions that if you tried to land on the various large bodies water (or taxi into it) the aircraft would make a splashing sound, resulting in sinking into the water and a crash. I THINK that this also works in FS2002 (which I don't have), as in Combat Flight Simulator 2 (which I do have) it indeed does function.

I recommend against the Steam version, actually. It adds a layer of complexity when buying add-ons from the sim marketplace, and you need to keep Steam running. I’d suggest buying it from the Windows Store or Xbox app included in Windows 11. (If you use the Xbox app in Windows 11 to buy it, you’re actually buying the PC version. Don’t even get me started on the branding confusion there.) Also, when you start the sim and it prompts you to download the rest of the files, I suggest choosing a custom folder such as D:\Flightsim. Lowers the risk of having to re-download all of the files if you decide to participate in a beta, reduced long-filename issues, and just a lot easier to find your Community folder.

MSFS Official February Dev Stream & Special Guests I saw a few snippets about the forthcoming Asobo 'Local Legends' and 'Famous Flyer' series here at the SOH MSFS forum mostly brought up by the MSFSAddons website and also related to the 'MSFS Official February Dev Stream & Special Guests'. However, as far as i could see, no link to the Dev Stream itself with, a.o. elaborate videos of the Orbx DHC-4 Caribou, the ATS AN-2 and iniBuilds AN-225 including video footage of the Mriya's chief pilot Dmytro Antonov himself. If by any chance you missed this here you go : https://msfsaddons.com/2023/02/01/inibuilds-finishing-up-work-on-the-an-225-mriya-for-msfs-an-2-finally-launching-in-march/ To see the video scroll down to about half way the page. If you want to see just the video's about...

WOTR ran well for me for a while , although I did have to run the ToolBox Runtime repair to get it work everytime. Now when I launch it, I get XML error messages related to Administrator or anti-virus. I can close those and get to the main menu and select a scenario, but while it's loading I get dll errors that bring me back to the main menu. I was going to delete the Usiel.XML file in AppRoaming......but thought that might make it even worse!

The PC version is the same program whether Steam or Store. The path to the folders is the only thing that really changes. MS may call it an Xbox program, but the PC version has slightly different coding. It supports a few more features not yet available on the console.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Scenery Description: I did this Scenery to add P.A. Air National Guard traffic as well as some USAF traffic from the period this scenery covers. This is an Addon to the great "KPIT Pittsburg 1962" scenery by Mike Stevens, Nick Botamer, and Tom Gibson. With Tom Gibson's permission, this is the whole scenery. DeltaDart has provided Squadron Textures for most of the aircraft included in this scenery including the F-84F Thunderstreak, F-86L SabreDogs, and the F-102 Delta Dagger. Individual traffic files included for 1957. 1959 and 1962, all with various aircraft from each covered year. This scenery is meant to be used in the Calclassic environment by Tom Gibson and the Calclassic community. By Al Von Pingel. To check...

The flying club livery looks great! Glad to see a cleaned up cockpit in this one. Someone posted some tweaks to the model (post 24) in the MSFS forums thread, for those interested: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/il-103-add-on/572010/25 Looking forward to seeing how this aircraft develops further from this author, and looking forward to seeing same author's Ilyushin Il-114 (which is basically like a Saab 2000 or BAE ATP) come to fruition. In the meantime, if anyone knows if there is a config edit that can be done to enable a visual copilot, please share. Currently even with weight applied to both seats, only the pilot position is filled.

So glad to finally see this come to light. Those who have used the Sibwings/ATS version in FSX/P3D will be right at home as this is basically the same thing, and I'm very much looking forward to it. Tons of repaint possibilities.

This one is going to be a ton of fun for me when they get six-engine support, since I have enough Saitek/Logitech Pro Flight Throttles to use. Pushing six levers around for throttle control will be interesting.
