Our current scenery (Aeroworx freeware)is certainly not compatible with FSX at all, & they do have for FSX as well. I'm sure you cannot have multiple installs of FSX on the same computer. (apologies if I am in error). I actually have 4 installs of FS2004, of various themes/era's, & it's easy just to copy & paste the sim across to different PC's as well. I have a master 'Special Edition' that I copy & paste to the guys at our club, so we all have the same scenery & planes when we fly together. I also have a basic training version that I copy & paste to the kids of our volunteer program, 'The Young Falcons' so they can practice at home. Yes, FS2004 still has it's place amongst virtual flyers. :-):jump: I had FSX on my PC for many years & eventually dumped it, as I found that it...

Good morning, Here are three of the French missions from 21 May... "title_string"=Battle of France - Heinkel reconnaissance over Lille "summary_string"=Mettons-nous en l'air rapidement! A German recce bomber has been spotted between Orchies & Lille, observing our ground forces! You must get to this area quickly and destroy this bomber before she has a chance to escape. The Germans may use this intelligence to attack our frontline at vulnerable points to try and push us into the sea. We must not allow this to happen! "objective_string"=Just after noon on 21 May, two Dewoitine 520s of GC II/3 collided during attack on an He-111 north of Douai. The bomber of 1(F)/121, which was shot down, was performing observation of Allied troop movements between Lille and Orchies. The element of...

Good morning, One more mission to go, then 21 May will be complete. And the last one is well underway. "title_string"=BoF Kampfgeschwader - Take control of Boulogne "summary_string"=Aufpassen Männer! The BEF is pushing back hard at Arras, & are trying to prevent us from reaching the Channel ports, including the port of Boulogne! If we can reach and capture these ports, it could prevent the British from evacuating France by sea, then we can isolate & destroy them in detail. Let's make sure that we put Boulogne out of commission! "objective_string"=On the evening of 21 May about twenty He-111s of III/LG I with an equal number of Zerstorers from II/ZG 76 were intercepted above Calais by a RAF pilot of 229 Sqn. As other Hurricanes jumped in, a running battle developed from Calais to...

As I said, it all depends on what you are looking for as a simmer. If these addons are enough for you, then there's nothing wrong in keeping enjoying them. Other simmer were looking for something more and moved over. It has always been like that. That being said, appart from Golden Wings and maybe a few airports, most addons you mentioned are available or compatible with FSX. The list of available sceneries for South Africa seems quite decent too: http://www.freewarescenery.com/fsx/southafrica.html Also, most of your FS9 landclasses and meshes will most likely work in FSX as well. My point is, since FSX Steam is sometimes on sales for a very low price (around 8 to 12 dollars), it might be worth a try to get it and try to transfer a few of your addons (or their FSX counterpart,...

Yes, the constant search for the holy grail of flight simulations..... Obviously this also means updating PC hardware to play catch-up with the newer sims that use more resources, & we have heard all the complaints that xxx simulation is not so good as it does not run better that we had, as we have not updated our PC's. At the end of the day, there are those that just want the newest! For me, I'm still using FS2004 because: 1. It just works on most PC's & without tweaking to get it to work. 2. For us, here in South Africa, it has all our South African scenery (including rivers, roads, powerlines, mountains & revised coastlines) as freeware. 3. Golden Wings 4. Ford Tri-Motor Project planes & scenery

And for me. I liked the David Eckert one in FS2004, and even with an incomplete panel the Vertigo one is among my most flown a/c in FSX, so a new one will be very welcome.

My most satisfying small pad landing was Eldred Rock Lighthouse (south of Haines, AK). I can't recall now if comes with ORBX SAK, or whether it's a RTMM add-on, but it's a tiny island with just enough room for the Lighthouse and a commensurately small timber helipad. Took me quite a few <cough> passes before I got a nice touchdown there.

Yeah mongoose, that is correct. I can not explain it. Trying to save button assignments (custom .xca files) to more than one input device without closing the Control Center (for lack of better term) in CFS3 between each, caused the problems. The button assignments would not get saved properly and would get cross-configured between all the CH devices. BTW, on the chance my Saitek pedals were defective, I bought a new set of CH pedals-the results were the same until I applied said fix. (I hated to spend the $$, but ETO crashed after I installed them, had been working prior) Now my ETO 1.5 is up and running, all CH devices work as programed. Thanks to all for your input and replies-
