Hi Milan, Great shot from the Mustangs. I have seen "Damn Yankee" several times. As the pilot/owner has become above a certain age he is not allowed to perform "commercial flights" anymore. I hope this does not end with selling this Mustang. The shots with Keith Paine's Miles M3b Falcon were not take above ORBX Australia. The text "On my way to Melbourne" might have confused you. The shot was actually taken above ORBX Southern Germany. But this particular aircraft took part in the MacRobertson Centennial Air Race, also known as the London-Melbourne race. To be honest the aircraft never flew over Southern Germany as the first stage went from Mildenhall UK to Marseille (France) and the second stage went from Marseille over Italy to Greece. I have plans to redo the complete race in...

Color is not so much the point, any color would do depending on the pilot's wish. 2 nice examples here : These are some of the first USAF jet era helmets from the 1950's onwards. Navy/Marines pilots used slightly different helmets compared to USAF. Tweet drivers in the 1950's would wear this type of USAF P-1A to P-4A flight helmets: During the 1960's the P series would be replaced by the USAF HGU-2A/P flight helmets. F.i. the visor is now covered when it's in the up position :

Agree. I LOVE Eduard kits. I have built almost every 109 they make in 1/48. I also like ICM (Ukraine) due to their subject matter. I have TONS of models from everywhere. I used to compete with Caz 30 years ago! Imagine that, Caz, THIRTY years ago! I started to stockpile over the past 20 years or so and built up a retirement stash - kits, decals, any add-ons, resin, etc. and put them all on shelves. Now retired, when I grab a box, everything is there. I still buy some currently releases just in case I live longer! LOL! I am also using acrylic lacquer and love it. Being an old lacquer man from years ago, it's good to have that nice, smelly, potent paint again! Been using Hataka Orange, but switching over more to AK paint. And I still mess with the sim naturally. Don BP;)

White! We wore white helments. Here is a picture of yours truly in the Tweet. You can see the white helmet through the windshield.

I am very excited for this one, to have a brand-new, high-poly/high-fidelity Spartan Executive, and with the current textures/material capabilities in MSFS, especially for creating realistic-looking bare metal. Only 34 production Spartan Executives plus one prototype were built during the period of 1936 through 1940. 20 are still known to survive in the world today (each with their own unique story/history of owners and various paint schemes). 18 Spartan Executives were pressed into service with the US government during WWII, with 16 going to the Army Air Corps and 2 to the Defense Plane Corporation. These were designated as UC-71s. Additionally, 4 were acquired by the British Royal Air Force. 3 of those RAF examples were used as advanced trainers at the Polaris Flight Academy in...

Deep in the archived Milviz phorum it suggests that for the J/S 'BASE' is used instead of TGT2...BASE is impossible to see, it's the vertical position of the rotary selector on the Nav panel in the rear seat - but sadly it still doesn't work :( It's worth getting the navigation to work as it adds a new dimension to flying the Phantom from waypoint to waypoint round a tactical route -- shades of Tornado! There are some good flightplans on Flightsim.to, the ones around the Lake District and Scotland are the best I think - although it's an MSFS site the .PLN files work in P3D, just copy them to the usual place in P3D. https://flightsim.to/file/51599/lfa14-raf-typhoon-low-level-sortie-lossiemouth-star-wars-valley-no-1-f-squadron...

IF you avoid the big brands, a lot of the best stuff now is coming out of eastern Europe. Favorite makes of mine (I am also mainly a 1/72 aircraft guy) include A-Model, AZ-Model, ARMA, Eduard, KP, Kora, RS Models, Sword, and Special Hobby. My favorite supplier for good mail service to the US is super-hobby.com. The accuracy, detail, and fit precision of some of these brands is now the best in the industry, and the subject choice is excellent. Even a prolific and demanding builder could build happily all their life without needing to touch a kit from Asia if that was their choice. There are some nice acrylic paint lines coming from that region now also. August

Didn't the jet pilot avatars come with that Top Gun remake add-on thing ? I uninstalled it, but still have the avatars.
