So I thought about the day and am just installing the scenery again. Is there still something being done about this great project ( maybe additional missions or improvements to the scenery )? A What if mission with the Third Wave would appeal to me - I think Flight One even had such a mission. I would be happy if the ships in Pearl would get an optical update sometime - that would give the scenario an additional attraction. Too bad Talon left us, I guess he might have added Dombral's layout to the whole thing? At this point a big thank you to the PHP team.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category P3D / P4D Add-Ons - Civilian repaints Description: This repaint pack is for Milton Shupe's FSX/P3D v4+ converted CDF (Cal Fire) S-2T (not the S-2T Firecat). This repaint pack represents the entire current fleet of S-2Ts in service with Cal Fire. 23 aircraft and another fictional repaint I included of T-100. The Marsh version is not to be confused with the Firecats found in Canada and elsewhere in the world that are powered by the infamous Pratt-Whitney PT-6 turboprops. The Marsh version is powered by the more powerful Garrett TPE331-14GR turboprop and has aerodynamic modifications that easily differentiate the two models. The S-2F3AT or S-2T for short boasts greater performance than Cal Fire's radial powered S-2As. The S-2T can...

The Bookie, It was on my mind yesterday, but I didn't have the opportunity to post. Just because people don't post doesn't mean they have forgotten. Some of us have additional responsibilities and obligations at the moment, (such as finishing up a semester of graduate school and preparing to depart for surgery in another part of the country...just speaking for myself) and making the insinuation that people have forgotten comes across, frankly, as condescending and insidious. That being said, I did hear that the last survivor of the USS Arizona, Lauren Bruner, has their remains interred on the ship itself. We owe our freedom in so many ways to these veterans, and not forgetting the sacrifices that they fought and in many cases died for, both on the battlefield at back at home, along...

I previously posted a list of values I was using for the d3d8.ini file based on the initial October release of the 2019 shaders. With the updated December release I noticed that there was a Terrain and Scenery section that changed. These parameters are new with the 2019 versions and their values are mostly undocumented, so I have no idea how to go about adjusting them. The initial October release had: ; Terrain Lighting and Bump Mapping TerrainDiffuse=1 TerrainDetailBump=0.2 TerrainDetailColor=0.75 TerrainSpecular=0.5,0.5,0.5 TerrainBumpFactor=0.125,0.125,0.125

Umm Harvard 4 G-CHYN at Dunkeswell. Got cancelled due to the weather, so next year now. And then hopefully the Yale and G-CORS at Duxford. No, he went bust and I lost my job. Now work for a little Aircraft Museum in Cornwall. First person in and last out every day, jack of all trades, master of none! Sorry for hijacking the thread. Martin

I just thought i'd give you guys a progress report. Im actually really pleased buy how painless installing everything has been, ive a box'd version of FSX and installed outside program file's and ive had no serious problems since, all my scenery tools and SDK 's work fine also. Ive even an old PSP7 CD which i got free included in a computer mag about 15 years a go, which installed first time. A few little problems, like somehow hiding some of my folder's, which is probably down to me fiddling to much :biggrin-new: and a "product activation warning" for FSX Acc, which then proceeds to work just fine. All in all im really please'd, so far all the nervousness and apprehension were mis-place'd and with my early X-mas present to myself, Orbx Vector and Global base from their sale, im...

I remember the Pearl Harbor Project being worked on so many years ago.Everyone was looking forward for it's release which came 6 or 7 years from when it was originally started. Next missions were released which I thought were well researched and done. Two maybe three years ago the the PHP scenery was upgraded with some things not in the scenery package.I helped with this upgrade because I had all the original scenery from the project thanks to Hiede sending me CD's and DVD's. Now it seems to me people in this forum forget what the date the date of the Pearl Harbor attack took place,if you flew the missions you should know. Here's a reminder. December 7,1941
