OK, just wondered as renaming 10's of cockpit m3ds as I am doing seemed less sensible than referring to a shared file as one does for gauges, etc.

Thanks Vortex, But I'd already tried that; no joy I'm afraid. I keep hoping I'll get a response some day, but so far, nada. Mark

That's how CFS3 was constructed. You can have unique cockpits for each individual aircraft, or you can copy the 3D model over and over again by simply renaming the file to match the rest of the aircraft naming convention. Since a 3D cockpit model is perhaps more difficult to produce than the external model it make sense that they would try to make it easy by reducing the necessary workload to get the game published. Since each install has its own m3d file it makes it possible to reference individual cockpit textures for each plane even though the model is being reused. I've used this feature to do things like add personal photos on the dash panel for my "Ghost In The Machine" series.

Hello Aleatorylamp, I was trying to address a bleed last night and managed to cause this situation as shown in the screenshot. It looks to me like I may have to do some extensive rebuilding in the aft Wing Fillet area. It is like seeing a loose string and when you pull on it, the whole mess falls apart. Every time I fix one area, something else breaks. The Pilot textures were improved a bit but still need work. The shape of the Pilot's Head was improved as well. I didn't get quite as far as I wanted on the Nose Gear / Propeller issue.

Your Bf109G and Bf109K work without any hassle in FSX and FSX-S Mike, tried both in P3D3 (up to v.3) and the Bf109G had the opaque glazing bug while the Bf109K continued without any drama. However, the Bf109G did a big dummy spit in P3D4 while the Bf109K carried on as usual. The Bf109F (well, it was FS9) did not want to look at FSX. I like to 'experiment'......:encouragement:

While I'm at it, here is one on Night Bombers 1943 in Lancs which shows interesting inside views, burning city effects and what the TIs looked like. I should look into increasing Dan's TI effects! Interesting the rear turrent changed to twin 0.5" guns.

Thanks guys! One last addon question, I'm on the fence about whether or not to use Nvida Inspector with this GTX 1080 or just stick with the normal Nvidia control panel. Any advice on this?

Hi Lee, Deactivate Rhumba's water mask layer but keep his coast and water layers active. The scenery is designed for that combination. All scenery files pertaining to Sumatra can go in the one folder. Kevin

:applause:Hey all, Well, here I is on a clear Sunday morning, hehe, all bushy tailed and ready to go, Yea, you bet! You know if I ever run into that person who said these were the golden years I am going to pop that person in the nose. Darn, getting up in the AM it is snap, crackle, and pop! Enough of the bull and get on with last nights flight. The four of us left Wendover and headed to Ogden, we had some nice weather and as we were crossing over the salt flats the conversation turned to fast speeds. and all the speed records that were created here at Bonneville Salt Flats. hehe, traveling at a GS of 140kts we sure wasn't going to any speed records, just poking along enjoying the scenery and the conversation. Just three more flights on this adventure and then onto something new....
