That was my thought too Brian. I'll look over the gauges and most likely it's a "gau or dll" that's the cause.

I only have P3d V1.4. No idea why it's not working. It's compiled with the FSX sdk and uses no "weird" animation names. Unless there is a huge change between V 3 and 1.4/FSX.

Figured I'd drop by and see how you fine folk are doing since I've not been here since... I think my profile said October? lol Lots of things happening in my life (I'm now in Wyoming working for the Forest Service as a seasonal Oil/Gas Well Compliance Inspector with hopes of snagging a Natural Resource Specialist permanent position in the near future) and I'm cautiously optimistic about the new FS coming out soon. Really curious to see what the mod community will come out with - right off the bat the ground tiling ad low-mid level in the vids I've watched seem... distracting in a bad way when the rest of the game looks so spectacular. Unfortunately, I left my Cougar HOTAS at home when I moved, so I don't have a stick or throttle at the moment. Other things to worry about when...

It is a terrible shame that some bad apple (and I don't have a clue who in this case) ruins things for everyone. How many scenery designers have pulled tons of freeware tremendous stuff. Why are people so stupid sometimes to spoil it for everyone else just because.........:banghead:

I just tried running it in P3D_V4.5 to no avail. Unlike the Norseman and Super Pacer which both work perfectly, this one causes a CTD. No worries for me though I flying entirely in FSX.

I thought that the range of Fisher (kit) designs originated in the USA, not Canada (?)

In my P3Dv3 it had some serious problems. It loaded fine and the passenger door opened and closed. When starting the engines via ctrl E the exhaust was very blue-tinged and the propellers disappeared. The flaps did not visually extend. It taxied okay and I was able to take off fairly normally. The landing gear would not retract. After flying a circuit I managed to get it on the ground but even with the engines shut down and the brakes fully applied it took over a mile to get stopped. Such a beautiful plane; I love Beech 18s. I hope someone will be able to get it to "straighten up and fly right" in P3Dv3.

Thicko's models can be found here, http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links_search.php?action=show&sort=d&literal=1&userid=447 You might find contact details in one of them. I must say that I haven't seen him around in a long time. 2016 was his last post. Jamie

Twisting my virtual neck around to the left, I get a good view of the French countryside slipping away behind and below. We're soon crossing the coast. If the briefing said anything about height, I don't remember it. As you can see, I'm assuming this isn't a low level raid, although Dorniers tended to specialise in this, apparently.

By way of a prologue to this mission report, in my teens, I used to seek out a newsagent in the resort during the family's annual seaside holiday, looking for my paperback holiday reading. Those were the days (the '70s) when I was spoiled for choice. One of my favourites, which I still dip into from time to time, is James Gilbert's 'The World's Worst Aircraft' (Coronet, 1978). The author starts his chapter on 'Dornier's Giant Flying Boats' thus: "An aircraft salesman once invited me out to New York's La Guardia airport for a flight in a Skyservant, a modern Dornier light twin. 'Delighted' I said, and then added, thoughtlessly, 'I've never flown any Dornier. Been bombed by them, though.' This, I think, the American salesman thought in poor taste; at least I never did get to fly the...
