I understand what you mean perfectly, Bazzar it will not be easy for devs and hope everybody succeedes . From my side I would say I'm an "easy flyer" do not use that many planes ( have a lot fly just a few) not a systems user no auto pilot no nothing, just compass, gear up and down, flaps, trim. Going sightseeing...take off, see the views, landing, airports, etc. So, for me, and with a good internet connection MSFS is just top. Regarding add-ons, bought the MB339 and will by anothers if they please me and are affordable... Best of luck

I thought they were giving it longer between updates so that things could be tested more thoroughly? Seems to me that every other update breaks things that were fixed in the previous update. Are these updates tested by the community testers before release? I guess you'll always get issues when trying to be groundbreaking, and starting from a blank (well almost) canvas.

Folks, the update screwed a lot of things up it seems! If you get super-bright clouds and gamma, switch to full screen mode, then go into menus and select the "ultra" pre-set. Save the settings, head back into the game - things should now be fixed. You can then re-set your graphics settings as required ( solution found by Otmar at Wing42 ). Liveries are borked, nobody knows why yet, and lots of folks getting CTDs that were not before. Asobo are on the case and no doubt will wheel out fixes soon in a minor update. Hang in there...

Virtualcol DHC-3 Otter is usable with FSX and FS9. All the repaints for all versions are shown correctly. The Qantas textures are proposed to be used with FSX. Nothing about FS9. But they still are BMP files, and therefore should be compatible with FS9 too. Nevertheless there is a fact, that the two files 'vcol_dh3_fusep_t' for float and wheel versions have a size of 4'097 KB, whereas those coming with the package are just 1'025 KB large, as all other textures files. Curious, isn't it? Bernard

I was going to ask the question but now it is answered - what a mess. My assessment is that LM will sort out out any lingering issues but as for MSFS - lap of the gods - I've got a bad feeling about where this is heading with MS given the economics around the globe and its impact ( also remember the MS Flight hoohah!). I really feel for you guys, really is a rock and a hard place! These large corporations are effectively making the small players carry the can here. That is really also a function of their decisions to go with the latest technological changes , hardware (Ray tracing video cards, multi-core processors etc) and software (DX12) was always going to be a bit of choke on digesting this and implementing it all - it will be stabilised because LM have a large number of corporate...

It literally blurs anything that's transitioning across your viewpoint. I noticed it right off, but thought it was just something they added. Then I read in the "official" forum that it's controllable. You'll find the listing under the Graphics settings.

Hello All, I-ve downloaded the, converted it to FSX and I'm using it for my AI Military prop Traffic. I'm very happy with the plane, been looking for an AI P51-B Mustang for a long time and finding it here was a very pleasant surprise for me. Thank you so much for this awesome fighter, Captain Kurt. I have two inquiries about it : the .MDL file lists a prop_us.bmp file that is not part of the zip I've downloaded. Would it be possible to include it, please ? I'm currently using a prop blur from another AI Warbird that I have, the best I could find in my files, but as you can see on the enclosed pic, it does'nt look good with the Mustang. It's much too opaque and that's not mentionning the trees that show through the blur.

There's a Halloween landing challenge that's rather amusing. The dev's came up with an "interesting" solution for runway lighting, and it's pretty easy to score points.

Even though it was released a few weeks ago already, I didn't find a post here either. So, thanks for posting it here, YoYo. I am just waiting to read people's experiences before forking out $42.

The first portion of the SeaWater.fx file included in AnKor's shader30 folder has several wave size settings defined. If you create a .txt file called State.txt in your effects/fxtextures folder, and type the name of the size setting you want as the first and only line of the file, you can easily switch between different wave sizes between sessions. For example, to use the Sea_Light setting, type Light as the first line of State.txt and save it, the Sea_Light settings will be used. If no State.txt file is found in effects/fxtextures, then the default settings will be used.

Here's a little progress flight demo video. New gear assemblies have been moved over to proper models. Also am working on polishing up the new sounds. One thing I'd like to add to the Skycrane is a working APU, the model itself has working switches in the cockpit, but I cannot find how or where to attach those APU sounds to. Among other environmental additions I'd like to make to these. Other than those, they are nearly completed at this point. I've also received some additional repaints to include with the package from a group supporter for numerous Italian and Australian liveries by Boris Cotic. I will be compiling those new repaints into the pack some time soon once I can match up which versions goes with which model in the pack. To clarify now what's transpired after the most recent...
