    I have updated my Soloy Sentinel Project with PBR. The Sentinel is a special T206H Mark 2 variation with FLIR, different wing and a special VC. Never published.

    Hi Ian, Thanks the place looks much more lively. The AI appears as expected and I even noticed one who taxied to the runway. Instead of taking of it went in ultimate camouflage mode and suddenly seemed to have disappeared :biggrin-new:. I was foolish enough to wait next to the AI to see whether it would fly a pattern....... :banghead: Cheers, Huub

    If I remember correctly it was the version that came with 4 track layouts. But cannot recall where I got it from. As Ferry states they do take a little bit of time master, but are very models.

    I note (on Win10 pro) that the cfg file is sometimes problematic. First, in the exe properties, I set as compatibility with XP SP3 and run as admin. I also found to go direct to the exe and not a shortcut helps sometimes; don't ask me why!:dizzy:

    I've tried to install this thing, like David did, and got the same errors like David did. Followed the instructions to the letter, and still got the message that the configdatabase file had errors. I changed the configdatabase file to the original version, still no joy. I changed the appdata files to the originals, and it worked (kindof) but I got a lot of visual anomalies. Any help would be appreciated. For what it's worth, I'm running this on Windows 10. Priller

    All I can say is it was great to see the development features built into FS2020. At least I gathered that they're built in. Which would be great for me, because at least two thirds of my flying within FS is in military aircraft and that means we'll be able to get much better looking air bases. It would be interesting to see how new objects, like buildings, cab be developed and placed within the sim. I'm sure that info will be coming later, as part of the SDK. Having said that, the LOD in all of the airports from the start is amazing. It's also nice to see cliffs that look like rock faces and not just vertically stretched textures. BTW, regarding bush strips in PNG, Orbx put many in with their AYPY Jacksons International Airport release.

    My guess is that running from the external hard drive is the problem with frame rates. DOSMdlc 2.0 Take the model you want to change the collision of and name it CFS2_MOD.MDL and put it into the DOSMdlc 2.0 folder than run the DOSBox Collision Size.bat

    Hi Shadow Wolf The dp is apparently pure fantasy. My curiosity was up so I dug into my library to see what the real world load out for the SB2C was. What I found in some detailed studies: In it's internal bay it could carry either a single 1,000 lb bomb or 2x 500 lb bombs. On the external bomb racks it could carry a 500 lb bomb, or a 250 lb bomb. Rockets could replace the bomb racks on the dash 4 model. Maximum load it could carry was 2000 lbs total. With modifications it was designed to be able to carry a 2000 lb bomb or a Mark 13 torpedo in the internal bay, but I could find no record of that ever being implemented. Nothing was ever mounted externally on the belly. So your choices for a realistic bomb load are:

    Hi Shessi, Thank you for the reply. I'll get Allen's program and see what mischief I can get into. If 60 fps is the best she can do, then so be it, a little better than the 45-50 fps on the old rig. Think I'll skip the windowed mode for now. Kind regards, TW

    Hi TW, No that is the max FR in non-windowed mode. So you won't get any more out of her Cap'n. Even that laptop spec is way way ahead of the required tech of CFS2 in 2000, so you're maxed out. If you go to windowed mode you will get FR's in the 150+ range, but with a horrible frame around it. If you're talking about the semi-auto Mk_MDLC then no there isn't a 64 bit version, BUT you can use Allen's 64 bit manual version, available here at SOH. You just have to use the command line format ie type in each command line of the conversion process (which is what is going on behind the front graphics of Mk_MDLC) instead. Not hard and there is a built in help. Cheers Shessi
