I'm finally back after a long wait ! So happy that i was able to load all my saved CFS3 installs. All i have left is the BoB install that i want to install fresh and the shader packages. New to win 10 but not too bad to learn. Everything is working good so far. It's been a year since i played and now to make up for lost time ! Note : even ETO works fine .....delighted ! Regards ,Scott

This is a comparison of the appearance of the cockpit area before and after adding the armour plate behind the pilot. The modifications to the shape of the headrest to fit entirely behind the armour are not apparent in these screenshots. It may not be entirely obvious but the texturing (but not the strange mapping) of the headrest has been altered slightly. It no longer shows the light spots that were apparent in earlier screenshots. At some point, I may need to go into the AFA file and rename all the current texture files for more consistency. Spaces and variable length names are hard to work with and do not work with AF5Paint. I will also need to add one more texture file and this project already uses 13 in a rather inefficient manner: Certain details such as wheels and wheel...

Easy there chaps, I liked the review and have taken away a couple of things from it for next week's update. Loved the fact that she can fly the aircraft properly and had obviously ( mostly ) read the manual. Most things fixable that are mentioned, although just like FSX and P3D versions you need the battery off to see the ladders / chocks / guard etc. Doing so also removes the pilot from the cockpit for that properly shut-down look. My DCS comment was based on experience I'm afraid - that's how many of them come across. If you're not building what they want, it's always somehow "wrong".

Tom, I do not even know where you got the "no one person is above anyone else here." Additionally, I did not see any personal insults. Not sure what you are talking about. I guess forums is not a place to a have disagreement is what I am taking from your comment.

Hi, Good luck on your project. I was wondering if you had looked at the G550 panel by G. Munro...? "FSXA Gulfstream G550 2D Panel" Its 2D but I think it could be adapted for a VC. Its complex but certainly bumps the realism up. Available on Simviation.

The simple answer - There are two gyro compass driven card instruments. The one on the right is an RMI with one needle for indicating bearing to an ADF station. The one on the left they call an HSI, but it is a bastardized gizmo to use with the autopilot hdg and nav modes. The HDG bug sets the desired AP heading. The needle will rotate through the autopilot course window selector to indicate that set course. Selecting NAV with the autopilot, it will track that course. I have never seen something like this, but who knows. Having flown some of these ancient indicators in my younger days (I turned 78 yesterday), I offered some thoughts on some of these types of indicators in my input below.

Did you went to my download tab ? Here are the files. And you don't need a key. It will be assigned by the installer which will connect to your account at the startup... I am becoming familiar ... :) Gérard
