    A couple hours later, with a few diversions in the middle such as peeling an apple for my Daughter and helping her warm up a snack, the Gauge is done. (At least for Engine1 and Engine2.) The big ON-OFF Switch will cut all Magnetos if switched off but will not reset the Magneto knob for either engine. When it is switched on again, it restores the status of the Magneto knobs to each engine. Perhaps the real gauge works differently. I don't know. I have never actually handled a real one. If anyone knows that the correct operation is different, please let me know. The tough part about Gauge Programming is that there is no error checking of the Macros that are expanded to create the C++ code that is compiled to create the Gauge. Thus, if a programmer makes any errors, it may not...

    Those rotor blades should certainly spin up and down gray eagle. Could you please help me troubleshoot by providing the following info: 1: Do you use version 1.2 of the PatchPack? If not, that's why the fan blades don't spin. 2: Which specific model is it, where you observe the issue? This information is really crucial in order for me to investigate.

    I have to add that while downloading, my exe didn't start promptly - not until I changed the compatibility mode to "Win7" the installer started... Latest state: No pilot, no configurations... will try to reinstall it tomorrow... Fantastic aircraft anyway! :applause: Thanks for this gift, I am sure I will get the Queen working...

    Do you have the airfield started yet? I started making the airfield some years ago before I had P3D, but is unfinished. My cousin was a nose gunner for the 454th BG at San Giovanni. I have done research on the location and tried to replicate the exact location of runways, taxi ways and hardstands. San Giovanni looks good in FSX but I have not mastered it under P3D while using ADE 1.75 Michael -

    Recently I started having a problem with the helmet mounted display for the payware F-35. Normally there's a bit of the HMDS symbology that you can either lock to the forward looking HUD display, or you can lock to the helmet's point of view, so it will move with the helmet. But recently, when I unlock the free roaming symbology, instead of staying fixed with the helmet's pov, the symbology just slowly drifts around the cockpit all on it's own. Sometimes, out of the blue, the drifting symbology will suddenly lock on to the helmet's pov, and work as normal for the rest of the flight. But next time I start the sim, the symbology is back to drifting around again. I can still choose to lock the symbology to the forward looking display, but the helmet pov symbology was kind of...

    Really nice job and tribute as well. There are several "what-if" paints I wish the USN had the budget for during the 2012 CoNA painting spree, mostly aircraft like the A-4/6/7 and F-14 that were already long retired. I'm still trying to figure out painting AI aircraft with layers, looks like you have it down.

    This was the first test of the B-5 Magneto Gauge. The Mouse Areas appear to work fine. Some of the logic behind the scenes also needs some debugging. What happens when the Magneto Switches are moved and the Master Switch is OFF? What happens when the Master Switch is turned on? - Ivan.

    This is frankly the biggest hurdle the beginning aircraft modeller faces getting your 3-view drawings (in this case all 6 views) into Gmax for reference while building the model. Over the next umpteen posts, I hope the process might be clear enough to follow. A basic knowledge of navigating the Gmax views and panning your viewpoint around is assumed, as is making and placing simple objects. You need good plans of your intended aircraft. The Tempest II in this walkthrough is based on A L Bentley's drawings and the finished model for CFS3 was uploaded to the library here a few years ago. Your drawings need to be cropped tightly to wingtips, propellor spinner, rudder trailing edge. vertical stabiliser top and bottom of tyres the extremities of the aircraft.
