I just followed the link at Flightsim.com and had no problem "purchasing" it for £0.00. If you look at the price on the right side of the main screen the price is listed as "FREE!" Gavin

Thank you, jymp ! I didn't know about rFactor 2 nore PCars 2. While checking some reviews i stumbled over Automobilista and Raceroom Racing Experience too. Didn't know about those neither ! I have always enjoyed rFactor very much as well as Pcars so i'm looking forward to find out what the follow-ups will be like. Downloaded Bill Leemings Ramp Lights from FSDevelopers. Sufficient for what I needed. Would be nice to get into lighting objects as well, but not right now. This will do what I want, which is to add lighting to an otherwise pitch black ramp.

As already said, attaching a landing light effect on a light post object and pointing it correctly will illuminate the ramp but not the objects on it. You will need to add night maps for the objects. In P3D, a dynamic light effect will illuminate everything. There is a nice tutorial for making ramp lights here: https://youtu.be/_P7fSlkmWvI

thanks guys for the two shot comparation comments. well I am bit surprised you can see some differency there, but I hell, I dont care infact. important is that I am stopping to support/tolerate any texture and m3d tweaks of my add-on projects, to please all the users who means their own made game settings is the most right one. @Shessi: the project is basically prepared for FS series conversion. I did today a quick port of the last gmax CFS3 model into FS9, a static model. having couple of questions about FS9/FSX features, just await some PMs in a short future ;)

The pilot house on an Essex is nearly the size and arrangement of that of a Fletcher Class destroyer, pretty small for a fair sized ship because of the narrowness of the island. . I see that you did get the "Conflagration Station" in the hangar deck! There was also as I recall a large fire door that could divide the hangar deck in two. Great ship!
