The whole package is a proof-of concept exercise. I only set up a campaign where you can fly for US_Navy, USA, Japan_IJN and Japan_AAF. I've become pretty familiar with writing campaigns over the years, so doing different/new ones is not a daunting prospect. The nek.xml file in the campaigns folder provides the list of available nations that could be written into a campaign (eg. US_Marines). I've found that it is tricky to successfully add production centers and invasion areas so the existing campaign is a bit limited in that respect. Sometimes it would be nice to have different default spawning nationalities (currently US_Navy and Japan_IJN because of all the ships) but to do that you need to prepare other country.xml files to swap in and out. The order of the nationalities in the...

you're not wrong - the difference is slight but it's there. Brings up a point about MSFS that is baffling. Why is scaling all over the place with the 3D models in this sim? The Milviz F4u, The GotFriends GeeBee, and dozens of freeware offerings have had scaling problems - some having to be redone. I don't remember this happening in FSX and can't help but wonder if there's a reference tool missing from the SDK that would prevent this from happening.

Talking about G-AHOO: I hate my nitpicking attitude towards digital aircraft models. Particularly when the're as close to my heart as can be. Which even might be an understatement. Anyway, here's what's on my nitpicking heart regarding Ant's fabulous Tiger Moth: anyone else thinks that the pilot figures could/should be a tad bigger ? Don't they make the Tiggie look a bit too big ?...

Hi Max, That is interesting. Could be that a higher powered card can handle the model. Regards, B24Guy

Hey fellas, so it turns out that it was all me that goofed, nothing on MS/Asobo's end. What happened was that I was using the Google Maps injector mod (though I barely noticed any difference) In consolidating some of my SSD/HDD space on my PC I moved the mod over to a location that better suited the program, and didn't update anything. I shut the software down (it was autostarting with MSFS) So somewhere I guess it lost the path and just forced MSFS to say I didn't have the bandwidth, after shutting it down, MSFS works again!

PTO Rising Sun is still fun, even though not finished, it serves a special function for more Theaters in the Pacific. A lot of cool aircraft available and more. Don't give up on PTO-RS unless you need the HD space. I play them all all ,and all are very enjoyable. ETO,MAW,MAW1943,PTO-RS,PTO-Solomons,BoB Mk1,Korea,CFS3-V3 are all fun and bring variety to the sim.

S-64/CH-54 Skycrane Update: The S-64/CH-54s are through beta testing and I am finishing up work on them currently and should be released by this coming weekend Beechcraft C90 Lead Plane / Air Attack / Birddog Update: Project is largely holding until the S-64s go out. But the only things that remain to be done on it are some animation tweaks, finishing up some liveries, and then a beta test in FSX as it will be for FSX and all versions of P3D. It will have USFS and Canadian operator liveries. OV-10 Bronco Project: New project has taken off in terms of popularity and is a combination of projects and things from multiple people in the community. Tim "Piglet" Conrad's OV-10A Bronco serves as the base for this pack. The aircraft base was converted with PBR and P3D nativity by George...

I've been getting weird CTDs - either in flight or when starting one. Ended up pulling just about everything out of my Community folder except what I need for that trip - a sort of manual way of doing the addon linker thing, but it works. I'm keeping the files on my D: drive, so at least that's less space used on my OS drive for now. Maybe one of these days I'll find something that's consistently causing the crash on flight-load, but nothing seems to be consistent. Sometimes it will start with a full Community folder, sometimes not.

Yes that one works fine, I had just thought RS had its own campaigns, I have since deleted RS and am only using the solomons version now. Are there any other campaigns for it?

It's so good to have Ant's Tiger Moth in MSFS, and so many great repaints already. I wonder if someone could do my favourite British Tiger Moth, G-AHOO, in it's green livery. Thanks - Rob

ditto, I've been getting intermittent bandwidth errors in MSFS for last few days (connection and photogrammetry), despite very stable internet coming into my home. I see on the official forum others have experienced these errors as well. Perhaps it's just heavy server load due to lots of people playing the most recent updates. Sometimes I wish there was a real-time server status dashboard integrated into the sim, perhaps as a floating window (like the IFR Map) showing relative load status of all the different servers. - dcc

Sounds like Lou is on to something. 2 years ago I was having trouble running The Division 2 and I did not notice that anything else was impacted. A power supply replacement and re-seating components solved the problem. I no longer recycle power supplies, I bite the bullet and buy new. (Once upon a time I even had a new power supply fail on me, so it is good to have one of those power supply testers also....I don't remember it costing too much.) Just to stay on topic...Dino's M-346 is great! Good luck John.

Currently I am finishing up and testing 2 missions for "Operation Kutuzov," the Soviet counter-offensive in the northern sector. They both involve an attack on an enemy divisional HQ. Due to a lack of airbases north and east of the Orel-Kursk-Kharkov line, I had to launch from quite a distance and take a rather circuitous route, in order to stay out of Nazi airspace as long as possible. The lack of bases? I am too busy and lazy (:wavey:) to research and build more. I will build between 12 and 20 missions for Kutuzov, then switch to the southern counter-offensive for about 20 missions there, then the campaign files. I plan to pick up the pace, starting this week. :running: Cheers
