I am having some trouble with this one. My yoke is all black and the sides of my panel is black. I know it has something to do with the interior but I don't know why I can't get it to display right. In the model folders I have the line interior=C-130J_Interior_SoftPanels in the panel cfg file and I have the SoftPanels.mdl file in both model folders but the yoke and panel sides are still all black. I have your other two C-130 mods and I have them working fine.

If a new texture is all you need (what awstub suggests), just change the texture name. From glass.dds to glassnew.dds for example. You can even type that directly into the Material Editor's slot. Naturally, you must make sure a) to export the model from MCX using a name that complies with the plane's model.cfg, b) that you have copied glassnew.dds to the texture folder of the target plane and that that is the livery you are actually flying, d) that your FS is actually using the updated textures (re-loading may not be enough), and e) that the replacement texture is a suitable glass texture to begin with. Hopefully you made a backup of the original model in the first place. For awstub's scenario you do not need any Templates. You shouldn't have "New Template 1 thru 3" either - the...

I wouldn't totally call this fictional. More like probable. Had the Navy still been flying the Skyhawk in 2011 when the navy celebrated 100 years of naval aviation it most likely would've gotten a retro scheme. I really like this one. Tribute to a Douglas Devastator off of the Enterprise? I'll definitely add this scheme to the fleet. Excellent job, to speak nothing of it being your first try! (I'm still hacking away at George Laven's colorful F-100 for Milviz's Hun.)

Thank you for the new mod. I really like flying the C-130 so any new models or repaints are welcomed by me.

Very good for a first ! :encouragement: I've managed to put my face on one or two pilots, LOL. Just what JAFO said, once you have figured out how to paint one plane the next is completely different. If you want to torture yourself try a Carenado or Alabeo ! :banghead:

Wow, JP! Those light look great. Not sure if it's too late to suggest a slightly smaller-diameter nav light effect - but now we're just picking at nits. I'm thrilled you're working on the lights being "attached" to the wingtips. I know this is laborious, and I thank you immensely in advance. As was stated earlier, some of these models, especially the RF-4B/C, will likely never see the light of day in any other form, so you've just made a bunch of us incredibly happy. I installed packs 1 and 3 last night, and with @Duckie's paints, the exterior model already looks like near payware grade. I'm thrilled to bits - and thanks again to you and the others with their fixes and paints. Kind regards,

Wow, all these repaints are just tremendous! Here is another I have added to the 764th Bomb Squadron. Thank you goes to JanKees who helped me figure out how to upload to Flickr and post from there to here. Chippiedall flew the first 37 missions with the 461st and was downed on her 44th mission. This is the last entry in the MICR of 11 June 1944 when #13 when down. "Eleven parachutes were seen to open... the last line in the report is a happy note: All crewmembers returned to the U.S.

With helmets, and oxygen masks, I wouldn't worry about which face is on which pilot. In aircraft that the whole face is visible and its in a texture you have a chance to change it. What textures are placed where is a product of the model's design. You can check what textures are on what part in Model Converter X. Sometimes I have had to use this program just to figure out what the designer had in mind to do a repaint. Nice job by the way. And your first repaint is very good.:loyal:

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category P3D / P4D Add-Ons - Military aircraft Description: This is an extensive model conversion modification done to the stock P3D LM/CS C-130J. This is the 3rd iteration of the "ScorchMod" C-130Js. The AC-130J Ghostrider modification includes similar modifications done to the previous versions of the C-130J. Those are night formation lighting, and the model and performance changes. I have also included an optional night texture for glowing propeller tips. Although, the real C-130Js do not have this option, I decided to add it as an option. For this model I have made a true AC-130J. This model includes the 105mm cannon and new GAU-23 30mm cannon. As the Ghostrider only has 2 cannons at this current time. I have also added 2 model...

Faces being mapped to the same space would almost certainly be a FPS,load issue. Most people tend to not worry about it and most repainters dont bother with internals anyway... ( that i have seen let me say for claritys sake. ) Plus 1 for fictional repaints. They actually are more tough to do than real world. Due to lack of reference and how you take a certain aspect of a scheme and apply it to a different unrelated subject. So excellent start.
