    Hi Chris, This means the cfs2.gsl file is missing or corrupt. Opening cfs2.gsl with GSLEdit can trace the problem. Uninstalling and reinstalling the DEI GSL file may fix the problem. Kevin

    The dds files for the sun image found in effects/weather and referenced in suneffect.xml are missing or are not in the proper format.

    In P3D V4.5, the base smoke effect from the USS Fletcher is too high and would like to see lowered closer to the top of the smoke stacks. There is a smoke fx effect that probably needs adjusting the attachment point which I do not know how. I tried getting in touch with the author but no reply.     I found that when I initially installed FSX into a windows 10 platform that I had the same problem. After a whole of hair pulling, I discovered that all my folders in FSX where installed as "read only". I had to change the properties of the main FSX folder and uncheck the read only box. That changed all the files and folders in FSX.

    Will be great to have this improved campaign for the BoB mod. I finished a short RAF campaign in the BoB mod (fireballed on landing after wrecking my engine through over-use of emergency power - or maybe it was Stuka return fire) and while fun, the Huns always seemed to come in at under ten thousand and in penny packets. In my final mission the Stukas climbed rapidly up to contrail height, which was weird while I struggled to catch them. I must add the new contrails to the Stukas, in case it happens again!

    Because of the way Windows Vista/7/8/X handles security and protection of the operating system files and folders, absolutely do not install flight sims to the default C:/Program Files directory. Installing to the C: drive is fine, but create a separate directory for sims, games, programs, etc.

    Richard and Cees, to the best of my knowledge ModelConverterX is unable to add animations to a model and this seems to be what is needed to get back aboard. (An animated elevator of sorts) This would need to be done in GMax/Max/Blender and the merged with the model in MCX.

    DD, Re-dark area around village. I think you'll find that it is either the flatten or the scenery is too low for the mesh. You can see the same in my pics of the cliffs, where the rear of the bgl cliffs are below the land/mesh, and you get that effect. It is accentuated at different times of the day. Try lifting either flatten or scenery a little. Tell me what else item-wise ie boats/tanks/LCMs/beach obstacles/wrecks etc you really need? And if non-destructable then exact location co-ordinates for a bgl. Cheers

    Yes Ravenna, they are. The two pictured above are anyway. Right here in the good 'ol SOH library! Just search for "boomerang" under CFS2 I saw them earlier today when I was looking around for those Otto Router boomerangs. Cheers, MR

    Lee, Just a long shot but the dark corners around the village bases may disappear if you switch off ground shadows.
