I've seen a thread on this before but my search came up fruitless. If I open the GPS in FS9 it locks the sim and I have to exit and come back into it. If I do not open the GPS all is well. If I open the map while flying the sim locks up. If I PAUSE the sim and then look at the map, all is well. Any ideas?

PWDT is fast becoming a quality freeware producer. Both of their aircraft are beyond payware quality and a real act of love to our community. Give them some thanks.

Milan, Attached is the requested change. I no longer have the resources to test this. You may have to modify your traffic set up for any name change of the folder or model = parameter. Look it over, compare to what your traffic set up says, and test.

So... here's another 'maybe' paint for Nigel's Avro ; this time for the Floatplane version. I found a reference that mentioned G-ABIR was retained by Air Service Training Ltd , at Hamble , for floatplane training at outbreak of WW2; not being transferred (impressed into service) to military marks as HM504 until 1941, when it's C of A expired.

If your W7 rig has W7pro, you can run Shiny (Ivan's old Shine with a Windows interface) in Virtual XP. It's one of extremely few XP programs that run in Virtual XP like MS claimed they all would. Shiny is in the library here. Search for "Shiny" in the FS9 Other section and it will come right up. You can set the level of specular gloss to your choice of Full Gloss, Semi-Gloss, Semi-Matte and Dead Flat. (You can also make the model reflective if you wish, though that will ruin the VC in some models.)

Hallo Huub, and friends, yes I allso observed this phenomen with CFS2 ac to have bizarre flight dynamics. For example it did cost me a lot of cigarettes and trial flights to get the GC-Bf110 series to fly correctly. Also the fs9 version was horrible nose heavy. Now I have them to fly at 75% percent power at 5000m with a trim which is very close to neutral. I still work on the Bf110G-4, but you can test my airfile I joined at the Bf110G-2 panel. So If you want I can try to make the FW190 flying neutral at 50-75% power setting Yours Papi

Hi Mal, Yep, that ol' admiral has been annoying me for a while too! This much I recall: The CFS2 ship becomes an FS9 AI aircraft. It needs an airport to park at. Make such an airport with just a minimal runway and one start location. Give it an ID and name that will never show up on your Select Airport menu to confuse you. I use identifiers starting with ZZ, like ZZAA, ZZAB and so on, so they're at the very bottom of the drop-down menu. Then set up a flight plan that puts your carrier (posing as an AI plane) in the desired spot with one weekly flight, just a takeoff and landing back at that same airport, so that the flight takes place in the middle of the night on a weeknight. That way, the ship will always be where you expect it to be at any time you're likely to be awake...

wombat666 replied to a thread Zandvoort...... in Racer's Paddock
Back when Assen had undergone quite an amount of reworking (not needed IMHO!) I watched a couple of races there for the 'Formula World Cup' (or whatever it was titled) and it seemed to work well. On one hand I really hate the thought of the Grubby EffWun lot messing with Assen, on the other I'm really annoyed with the high handed treatment being forced on the locals at Zandvoort! "The people who live in Zandvoort have received a set of rules about what they can do but in most cases what they can't do during the racing week. They can't park near their home and they get one permit per address to enable them to enter and leave the village......" I'm with Ferry re the hideous slab of concrete! As for the conservation impact, I despair of the stupidity of the idiots who just see...

Being 'Mercedes' they'll get away with it, legal or not. Is it useful? Perhaps. Comment re Red Bull:"The car looks fantastically agile in the medium-high speed sequences, notably between Turns 2-3. The abruptness with which Max Verstappen and Alex Albon could change direction there shaded even the Mercedes (assuming they were running similar fuel loads). But that’s not the essential key to super-fast Barcelona laps; rather the big gains are to be made in the slow-speed sections in Turns 4, 5, 10 and the chicane. Here, it has not yet been as easy a car to manoeuvre as the Mercedes." Apparently there are gains to be made, in which case the 'Purple Pole Syndrome' will most likely see the entire grid sporty similar trick front suspension packages, whether good, bad or...

It is difficult to tell (it is often so :( ) 3-4000 draw calls is a lot, but shouldn't be an issue. The address of the original error is inside a CFS3 function that updates terrain or autogen scenery. I'm not even sure what it does, because although I did some research in those parts of the code my shaders don't really change anything there. UseD3D9Ex=1 allows to use more memory for textures, but may cause odd errors in some cases, although they tend to be visible immediately, and here it seems to work for you. Maybe cfs3 had run out of memory on its own, or maybe it is just a bad luck.

Not really, benefits are probably small and the FIA have already banned the system for 2021. Their new rear suspension might be more interesting, acting like a double diffusor it seems. Smart idea though.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II Description: This file contains alternative textures for the payware Wings of Power/Shockwave FW190 A8. These textures depict the FW190 A8 flown by Staffelkapitän Oblt.Karl-Heinz Koch from Herdla airfield Spring 1945. Karl-Heinz Koch flew the Focke Wulf WerkNummer 350185 "Blue 9" with 7./III./JG 5 from the airfield Herdla from a small island at Norwegian coast. This aircraft was damaged beyond repair during a crash-landing in which one of the main legs from the undercarriage collapsed, due to heavy braking (!). These textures are based on the excellent paintkit by Martin "ICDP" Catney. Files are converted in extended format by using Martin Wright's perfect DTX1 bmp manipulator. The drop...
