    Thanks for your help guy's, i went with the Garnier FSX version which works out of the box for FS9, good VC and fly's better, not bad for an old girl :wavey:

    Yes, I know about the terrains2 thing. I haven't even done that this time. Might deleting the zx files have been where I went wrong? Shall I try again, running the nuke bdps but leaving the zx alone?

    One of the nice things of having a new flight sim computer is that you have to go through your back-up disks. So I'm sure I have them on the back-up CD called "AH Freebies"...... If not found by anyone earlier, I will have a look this evening. Cheers, Huub

    As I was wondering whether the flight dynamics did prevent the AI FW190 to take off, I replaced the flight dynamics by those which were made for the same model by Team Deadalus. Although it improves flight behaviour of the model when selected. However it doesn't make the AI aircraft take off. This evening I will try Ian's new traffic file. Cheers, Huub

    Based on a quick read of your post, I would comment that the gun entry parameters in the sounds.xml are default parameters for ALL guns listed in that section, and where you want different parameters or to change the default parameters you list them with your specific gun, which it looks like you have done. On the vehicles question, you very much need a vehicle so you can tweak the relevant parameters in the gunstations section of the xdp file. Just take a standard flak gun like the 88 and rename the xdp and m3d, not forgetting to edit the xdp with the new name of the m3d file. One thing which might be important is the characteristic of the .wav file. I have a suspicion that if the wav file is recorded in stereo, than it only works with stereo="yes" but I could be completely wrong...

    A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Panels Description: This panel is for the Messerschmitt Bf 110 G4 nightfighter version. The pilots panel has just some minor changes compared to the Bf 110 G2 JaBo version. But the radio station is now equiped with other radios and working radar device. Joined is an alternative aircraft.cfg for the Groundcrew BF110G4. Now she flies at cruise speed (1.1 ata, 2300 rpm) in 6000 m with nearly neutral trim set.

    That's interesting, I just kind of assumed that the downlimit was an actual reading. Eg downlimit="85" to keep the gun from panning below 85 degrees.

    Hi Guys, Mav - Thanks for letting me try DP-AFE. Basically it identifies the hex locations for each air file entry, and you can cut and paste other air file entries but not much else - at least that I could figure out. I think it would be helpful if you were hex-editing a file to quickly identify and find specific sections and code lines. UncleTgt - Very comprehensive. I'll have to experiment with some of that. I make almost all adjustments to the air file. I don't like to mess with the .cfg file much because most, though not all, of the effect is on the players aircraft making it a different airplane from the AI. I try to make sure the .cfg and .air file values are matched. It's not universal though, I think there is some cases where the .air file supersedes the .cfg file. A...

    Hi dhadsell, sounds like you know about the terrains2 folder on the CD. @Priller, I assume you are talking about the stock upgrade, not ETO. As for the configdatabase issue, I have never encountered it for this install. Almost sounds like it could be a syntax problem which could be picked up with an xml editor. I think I would have persevered with the setup where you got cfs3 open, but looking horrible. Its generally not hard to fix the look. You get clues like - is the view not at the standard monitor resolution? etc. But really, configdatabase is an odd one. I don't know what could be wrong other than a typo/syntax problem. You could try pulling out the shader package - all you really need to remove are the two d3d8 files and back them up somewhere.
