Maybe it's not the throttle device... "The following, if severe enough, can cause stalling or surging. Aircraft operation outside its design envelope; e.g., extreme flight manoeuvres resulting in airflow separations within the engine intake, flight in icing conditions where ice can build up in the intake or compressor, flight at excessive altitudes. Engine operation outside its flight manual procedures; e.g., on early jet engines abrupt throttle movements (slam acceleration) when pilot's notes specified slow throttle movements. The excessive over-fuelling raised the operating line until it met the surge line. (Fuel control capability extended to automatically limit the over-fuelling to prevent surging)."

Connected directly to the M$ servers via this: Maybe not necessary if you always fly in a 20-mile radius of the same airport, (or slew up, take screenshots, close FS and go to dinner) but if you fly at random locations around the world on a regular basis or fly a mission for 300 nm at 400 kts, low level in an F-18 you're going to be streaming a lot of scenery.

I am working on the final tweaks I made to the Eagle Field scenery addon that is part of the PT-17 Stearman conversion in the SOH downloads section. I have added a satellite image ground texture (with seasonal textures), realigned the runway to match the actual runway, added cones to mark the runway, added the buildings that are the actual hangars and house for the real airfield at the end of runway 17. Added a dirt track to indicate the taxiways, darkened the interior of one of the open hangars to look more realistic, removed the original fenceline and substituted a fenceline from ADE. I removed the windsock and flag as they were both upside down. Added the default windsock. Be advised that if you are using default ground textures this addition will not, in any way, match what you...

I think the throttle on my stick may of been a little sensitive to the fast forward movements and if I slowly advance the throttle the burner rings light up. Same thing in reverse, lights will go out with slow regress.

I had no idea the burner flame could be seen in normal flight, thanks to Mike for that information.

Sorry, Rob! I hope I haven't created a mess by my monkeying around and adding the burner ring effect to the Banshee. Great plane to fly, as always! I know the Banshee had no afterburners (reheats) in real life, but I have always liked the burner ring effect.:wavey:

I should mention at this point that the Banshee smoke effect and thereby the Afterburner are controlled by an xml gauge written by Dave Garwood for his beautiful Hunter. He kindly gave me permission to use it. Rob Richardson

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category P3D / P4D Add-Ons - Jankees Civilian Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Milviz DHC-3 Otter. It shows De Havilland Canada DHC-3 TAA VH-SBR. This was originally Qantas' VH-EAX, and first registered in May 1958. It was sold to TAA for its Sunbird Services operation in New Guinea in September 1960, and re-registered as VH-SBR in December of that year. It was carrying the name 'Kundiawa' (the capital of Simbu Province, PNG). It was withdrawn from TAA service in December of 1966 and sold in Canada in 1969 becoming C-FYLZ for North Canada Air. This 50+ year craft is still current and now flies for Wabakimi Air out of Armstrong Ontario. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paint kit by Milviz. To check it out,...
