Thanks Jankees, love all the Eagle images you've been sharing here, amazing work as always! I think that you're one of the silent majority who "get" what the Eagles are about. I suspect GoNavy might be the same and is actually being sarcastic about the occasional troll - the Marshall Stack is the carrier pattern above an aircraft carrier, nothing to do with an F-15. :)

The product was released when it was ready for the target audience - gamers, entertainment fans who don't worry about every little detail being perfect to the real aircraft. Then it was updated as planned. In fact there were three updates planned, but things went better than expected so it was mostly done in two. This was all telegraphed waaay in advance via my Facebook page, but of course you can't reach everybody. My actual mistake really was underestimating just how much interest there would be and how many would buy the Eagles at launch. Still, I always wonder to myself what people were looking at with weeks' of preview videos on You Tube, dozens of pictures on the Just Flight website, then bought the Eagles and complained they "weren't what they were expecting". Anyway, Eagles are...

Dean, I AM happy, because it looks great, and I'm having great fun with it. I have no idea what an AGSM is, or a marshal stack, and I don't care. So you keep developing them, and I'll paint them, OK? Now, what about that P-61? I'm pretty sure it's not using AGSM...or is it? Australian Graduate School of Management? American Gold Star Mothers? Asociación Guatemalteca de Servicios Medicos? Advanced Geologic Strain Measurements?

Thank's to all for your very helpful advice, most appreciated. I'll go with the MS store, while I have almost all my Race Sims via Steam I think is wise to stick with the majority. :encouragement:

lol - sort of like saying 'check six' isn't it MSFS has three separate .flt parameters - one for the ramp - one for the runway - and one for spawning 'in flight' apparently and this is for each aircraft. either one of the three can be loaded based on the player selection of where to begin the flight. This is why loading the airplane on the runway (with that .flt) in the case of this airplane - will give you control over the panel lights - but starting on the ramp (with that different .flt) will not. As to editing the 'lights' section of the Carenado aircrafts - I have not discovered where or even whether it can be done - especially as I remember that even in FSX Carenado didn't really provide that ability. Their lighting was 'baked in'

Yessir, that's what i've read. EDIT : Well, just like with FSX and the whole kitt'n caboodle before that, you can fumble around with the lighting in the aircraft.cfg/ department. ( sorry, not tried anything like that myself sofar, not sure if it still works the same here in MSFS) you would f.i. be able to do away with the overhead light all together simply by removing its params.

Hello Aleatorylamp, I just spent most of the late afternoon and early evening removing and replacing the battery for one of our minivans. I had to come inside about every 15 to 20 minutes to warm up because I could not feel my fingers any more. I had to quit just before fastening down the bracket to the battery because at that point, I could not tell whether I was holding pieces I needed to install either by feel or by sight because there wasn't enough light to see down into where the pieces needed to go. There were too many opportunities to lose something in the engine bay and never find it again. I had to collect tools by flashlight. In warm weather with good lighting, this would have been a fairly easy job. It makes one think how the Soviets and Germans maintained equipment...

lower case "l" as in 'lights' ? I'll check it EDIT: yes it works exactly as in FSX - which is terrible. Because exactly as with FSX it also lights up the big dumb white overhead cabin light. And just like in FSX there is no way to turn that light off separately and independently from the other lights. No Go But it DID activate the rotary panel and inst. light switches

Thanks, John, yours ain't too shabby neither. Hehe I LOVE bare-metal, always have, but somehow i can't get used to it on the Spitfire (although your screenshots of it are gorgeous ;-) I do love the sounds too but still can imagine someone will deliver an even better Merlin soundsuite. Does your propspinner wobble too ? Can't seem to see it in your screenies. It can be seen in some of the screenies i took, quite remarkable. The spinner is just a blur :

Yea, I checked that Larry. It's set to 45.00. I think it has to do with the information in the hierarchy settings or the code I changed in MCX.

Not able to test this myself because a certain Spitfire crossed my path to buy the Arrow,( who bothers to fly an Arrow when you have a Spitfire standing next to it in your hangar ;-) but i have read that you should be able to light up the cockpit by first using the ol' 'l' key (i.e. same as in all FS versions before) and then somehow the lighting knobs will be activated. I'd say give it a try.
