Thanks for your offer of support Dean - got my latest version. I'll skip over what it took to get it, and the quality of support PC Aviator gave, as that frustrating aspect is a topic all it's own. As to the model, the AB and light glitches look much better, thanks for addressing that. Two small issues I detected: 1) AB/reheat on single seat model looks fine. But on the 2 seat (F/G) it flickers and doesn't project the full luminous effect. I tried various repaints, but it persists as correlating somehow to those 2 models. Anyone else find that difference from the full, bright effects of the E? This is kind of a biggie, and the F/G being key models/reasons for purchasing this, I'd be keen to find a fix. 2) With PBR, the tanks - especially wing tanks - come out very dark,...

A nice Northern TX airport is greatly appreciated. Gives me a good flight from Corpus AOR in my Flight1 B200 or Cerasim MH65 via patrolling the I35.

I just re-read their page, and they state that it's a bladder tank to extend the range. Maybe I'm wrong, but unless I see it on the Cub Crafters page as an option and the tank selector gets modified, I'm sticking with two tanks. Version 1.6.6 still has it.

Excellent work. Denton is about 35 minutes south of me so it would make a nice Sunday hop from North Texas Regional.:applause:

I was doing a flight in the X-Cub with the v1.5 performance mod, and pulled up my fuel to see if I needed to switch tanks. What I found is attached. Needless to say, I was a little curious as to what the heck was going on. So after I landed, I opened up the flight model cfg file in both the stock package and the mod, and sure enough, there was a third tank with coordinates that would have put 25 gallons of fuel right in the passenger’s lap. I double-checked the Carbon Crafters sales configuration page, and there is no option for a third tank. I then copied the parameters from all the other unused tanks in the cfg file and applied them to the Left Aux line, checked the sim, and all is well again. While I was there, I also increased the steering angle from 30° to 70°, which will make...

This is a really fun machine. Nice add-on! I wouldn't be upset if the volume of the engine sound was lowered. It's pretty loud and is drowning out ATC. (I've turned down the engine sounds globally as a workaround.) Also, I'm not noticing any gear or flap sounds. Should I be?

I discovered on Flightaware when I was researching the Wings of Rescue flights highlighted in my last post about the Carenado Embraer 120, the airport in Denton, Texas, Denton Enterprise Airport. The airport was established in 1942 and used during 1943–44 by the United States Army Air Forces as a contract glider training airfield. It was known at the time as Denton Field. Harte Flying Service provided instruction. It was used primarily by C-47 Skytrains and Waco CG-4 unpowered Gliders. The mission of the school was to train glider pilot students in proficiency in operation of gliders in various types of towed and soaring flight, both day and night, and in servicing of gliders in the field. It was inactivated in late 1944 with the drawdown of AAFTC's pilot training program. It was...

So I've gotten back into FSX helicopters again, and thought about picking up Nemeth's Skycrane package. But I learned something new in the process. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Erickson is still manufacturing all-new S-64s?! I thought they were all rebuilt Tarhees. If that's true, then...wow! I had no idea!

It's soooo good. Thanks, Dino! My one request would be a bit less reflectivity on the gauges. Couldn't read them at all during a sunset flight with the sun behind me. Teeeny tiny request. Flies wonderfully!

Hi 65olschool, I must admit to valuing the mos file system. I find that with Ankor's shaders, I get tons of definition in the skins, the markings can be crisp, and it is a combat sim after all, so I like bullet holes! The mos file system has been adapted cleverly by the OFF team, to exploit multiple skins for the aircraft within a flight. To me the weakness of having seven or eight identically-skinned aircraft in a flight is one of the big drawbacks of the sim - and using the mos file offers a basic albeit clunky way around that issue. My wish would be for some of our skinning wizards to make mos file enabled skins so we can get a whole flight with unique markings. :running:

The prompt before was the down load bar -- looking at the saved file , shows an Internet Icon instead of my regular zip file , and properties stated partial file , {Name}.zip.qvxds1 It saved 3 skins that way , Today I used the front page link to get to the file , and it came in as a zip file ,ok
