Hmmm I'm not sure... with such logic, I would end up deleting the emails I get from the tax office... :biggrin-new: More seriously though: very good advice. :encouragement:

I got a nice phone call last week from a charming lady who began by mentioning that they'd noticed some unusual activity from my "Apple device." I let her ramble on for quite a bit, in the meantime not paying the slightest attention to what she was saying... ...finally after about 10 minutes she paused for breath and I managed to interject a question. "Oh, is this only about Apple devices? Well my dear, the only Apple I own is sitting on my kitchen counter and will be going into my Indian Lamb Curry for dinner tonight. :devilish: :biggrin-new:

Fair question. My goal is for the Vega to become a study-level aircraft. Simulating individual components to the extend that I do, allows me to to generate more realistic behaviors. I.e. Failures of components, power losses due to maltreatment or exterior conditions, etc. Making it a more immersive and realistic experience.

Lots and lots and lots of nasties out there harvesting, hacking, trolling and generally skimming data for nefarious purposes. Many can be indistinguishable from real people, but are bots and ai. Now is a time for extreme diligence protecting yourself. The web is not a really nice place any more unfortunately. Just my two cents Ed, but you have a lot at stake and have lost data before.

The PSD technician to the far left of the post-flight group image is TSgt. Bill Todd. Don't recall the tech's name on the far right. Major Bledsoe is the pilot wearing the brown suit, discontinued for the absorption of radiant heat (though they did stop excessive window reflections for the crews). The airman emerging from the cockpit is yours truly, having just removed the pilot's seatkit and parachute. From: http://www.wvi.com/~sr71webmaster/psd01.html There's a SAC 30th anniversary information film that shows us dressing up a crew and installing them into a Blackbird, 1976, though I've never been able to dig it up. Am in that one as part of a team dressing a crew member. The other two photos are from my little Kodak X-15 camera, both from 1975. The shot of Earth is amazing, is it...

200 USD is way beyond what I am willing to spend. Maybe if it was the only aircraft I wanted to fly and wanted the most accurate possible but I don't have that kind of attention span. I worked for a guy once who thought his software was so valuable that he charged a much higher price that I thought was justified, the company was surviving but was small and not growing very fast. I always argued that if they charged less they would sell more copies and more $ in the end. So while I do not say anything negative about PMDG aircraft I suspect that if they sold it for 50 instead of 200 the increased sales would more than make up the revenue, but that's there business decision.

I have seen that a lot, always best to check the from email address, while the name is going to be one you recognise, the actual address (name@server.xyz) will not.

Averaged over the hundreds of hours that a dedicated jet transport simmer will use it, the ROI is superb. For those interested in other simulations, thankfully they have a choice. In the end, in this and everything else, we all buy and use what we can afford. Often its a matter of priorities. Each must decide what works, for themselves. Thanks for the announcement, I look for way to the feedback from those who do decide to purchase. Shes fantastic, in my opinion- but then Im aware what they say about opinions;). Best- C

Oh, I thought it was the same idea as Flanker 2.0 and Lock-On. No clickable cockpits like the ones we are used to with MS FS series (no need with modern fighter "HOTAS" concept), but realistic enough systems and flight models to call it a real simulation.

Ed, Check your PMs for more... Since I am one of the lucky recipients of the pile of crap I can pretty-well confirm it is a harvested list and/or another sort of hack. Delete without reading (there may be more of the same sort coming) and if you can, train your email to treat it as junk/scam email. Considering the various sources of the emails, it's pretty clear the list has been shared amongst the cesspool of trolls and will probably continue.

I get those from time to time and from things like Linkedin and other sites that say people are looking for you. Also get those phone calls saying the IRS is coming for me if I don't pay up. Delete, delete, delete! :dizzy:

Am sure it is a quality product. I don't own any of their releases. Only commercial liner I own is the DC-9 (from Flight 1 AND the SkySimulations), soley for the C-9 version of both. But I rarely fly tubeliners, except for those models. But that IS a lot of cash for a model. I have spent a LOT of money on addons (never want to add it all up, as I would get depressed!), but have never spent that much on just one addon. NC
