collensr started a thread T-38a in MSFS (FS2020)
Just a heads up - Ryan Sundheimer over at the Military Aircraft & Scenery FB Group has released an OEM approved port-over of the MILVIZ T-38A Talon from FSX. Before anyone moans - some switches are not clickable - but it is apparently VR useable.

There are a few sounds in the library for other types of Japanese engines. Maybe you could try to tweak one of them to sound like the Sakae 21?

I'm using a laptop for this forum - the gaming pc is in another place & can't be connected. As for moving with the times, our connection is so lousy I couldn't game online anyways even if I wanted to, which I don't. Without the phone activation I need another way; thanks for replying anyway, Robin

As far as I know this problem has never been solved. I first encountered it several years ago, brought up the topic here in the forum, but nobody knew an answer. I installed V2 in a new install on a new computer, also some years ago, but the problem is still there. And I'm sure I installed everything in the correct order. I tried to narrow it down and found that it always occurred when flying near, or looking towards Valetta. I'm not sure anymore, but I think I also tried to deactivate the gsl, and it still crashed. I thought that maybe it could be one of the texture files that may be somehow corrupted and causes the sim to crash? Of course my knowledge about scenery is quite limited, so I don't know if such a thing could happen.

That's an interesting find, Martin. I see the same problem with various divebombers like the SBD and the Val. I suppose that this works with them also, I'll give it a try.

You obviously have an internet connection to post here, any reason as to not using it to activate FSX? Microsoft stopped supporting FSX ten years ago.. Gotta move with the times.:wiggle:

Thank you so much Kenneth for your wisdom and ability and for your gentlemanly actions in posting screenshots over at the MSFS site, something I could have done myself had I wanted ( which I didn't ) Thank you also for pointing out the models shortcomings, these things need to be said! Rob

I might be missing sarcasm, but devs don't need to know when people alias sounds on their own local copy of an addon. They might care of those files are repackaged and redistributed, but there wouldn't be any harm in that either unless the dev explicitly said they didn't want any files redistributed but that wasn't done. Thanks to vipgroup for the tip. I'll try it out as I have both of those addons!

Very nice job, Rob. Thanks for the plane. It's great fun. Skinners? We're still at least 539 repaints short, here. Let's see what you can do! August
