Bjoern replied to a thread X-Plane 11.50 beta is out in X-Plane
Gains in realistic usage cases in Vulkan mode are lower than the 100% in the benchmark and there's some odd stuttering when looking around, but still...with X-Europe, HDMeshv4, the default thunderstorm weather preset and looking toward downtown Berlin, I still get around 40 FPS. OpenGL mode is around 26. All tested aircraft add-ons did not exhibit any anomalies in Vulkan and SeaTraffic and Librain is the only plugin that does not work in Vulkan mode. I consider 11.50 a winner so far, all quirks aside.

Glad you like it. I am only a few miles from there actually. Located between Sherman and Denison Texas (the Twin Cities) and west of Highway 75 which runs up through the State. This was an ADC Base (Air Defense Command) in the 60's and early 70's (F-102's) as well as a pilot training base going back to the early 50's. I was stationed here from 1968 until 1970. I came back to work here after retiring in 2007 from Carswell AFB and actually worked out of two of the hangars you picture here. The company I worked for restored WWII aircraft.

I am no CPU or GPU expert and get all my knowledge from Internet. Both of the CPUs Intel 6600 Core 2 duo and Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 are old compared to nVidia GT1030. So the idea changing CPUs isn't very promising. If I ware in this situation and wouldn't wan to throw away the old PC I'd buy a new MoBo with good enough CPU (for GT1030) or try to return the GT1030 GPU and go on with the old rig. One alternative is also a new PC. I don't quite see why you cannot use your simulator in Win10 PC? If you do, you need a more powerful PS as Priller told above. By the way Win10 runs FSX (and other sims) as well as Win7 and there is Win7 compatibility mode in Win10 if needed. What ever you do browse Internet or/and ask PC experts (you possibly know and trust) before decision.

Yoyo, this release was built with the more than able assistance of several real-world owners and flyers of the DC-3/C-47. We have beta tested to hell and back in the face of many urgent requests to hurry up and release. We have asked around here also but have had negative responses siting no time as the reason. There will always be glitches that's the nature of the business these days. But we fix them when we have enough reports gathered to make the best use of time. we are already more than happy with the performance of this product in sales and feedback from customers world wide who are enjoying the product immensely and having a ball flying it (or trying to!) You all know me by now (or should do) . I always ensure people are happy and SPs are relased as quickly as possible. The...

Matt, of course we will be issuing SPs. We always do. And yes, as I have said and thanked you for the HU, we will be making the necessary changes to some of the liveries when we do the SP. Right now, as a small business, we are going to find it challenging in te coming months, balancing personal with business but we will, like a lot of others, I suspect, do our best.:engel016:

OK, the model in question combines everything you report: counter-rotating propellers, with variable pitch, made up of multiple parts. So I drop for this plane which seems impossible to convert in full for P3D. Too bad, it's a beautiful bird (Tupolev Tu-114) :frown-new:

Bazz I think all people here are interested and have been waiting for this model for a long, long time. Nothing new, even Bill Gates products need be patched :pirate:. What can I advice - do more beta tests (or maybe beta Team is too small?), dont know this. More beta tests mean more completed model which is very important at this level price I think (higher than A2A Connie and near PMDG DC-6). So expectations are also high. Now I don't know if this Your post means ("make a return or accept what you have") the end of support for DC-3/C-47 and no next SP for few layers of repaints, strange shadows on model (probably missing PBR textures/alpha also) and issue with 3D model of main gear. I personally think that such comments and comments from users from opened Forum help and exchange...

I have the plane and like it. A v1.2 was released that fixed most if not all of the complaints in the original thread you mentioned. If the sale lasts until Tuesday (tomorrow) you can get an addition 10% off at PC Aviator. Otherwise I often find the price at SimShack is sometimes even lower than the discounted PC Aviator price. Hope this helps. :ernaehrung004:

I see that the Alabaeo Cessna is on offer, and I am tempted, but an AVSIM forum thread when it was released picks up a number of flaws. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/550228-the-cessna-c170b-has-been-released/ Can anyone tell me whether these were corrected, please? Is it a good buy? Thanks, David
