Ed, The boys & I over at the Avsim racing forum just got done doing our regular Saturday MP flight. Tennessee! The theme was brought on by all your excellent releases. ( ran out of time to make Jackson Co. :angryfire:, oh well ) 100 Aker Wood & Sky Ranch... WOW!! All the others a great too but these 2 standout as beyond payware quality. Thanks for all your hard work! Roman

I'm all in. Been virtually flying Microsoft Flight Simulators since the 1980's on my trusty old Apple IIc (I still have that computer. Sadly the floppy disk died some time back in the early 90's. I have a version around here somewhere that I can run on a virtual machine). I'm just gonna sit back and watch people go thru the usual bickering and moaning about how Microsoft this and Microsoft that and just enjoy a chuckle to myself about how completely awesome that first Flight Simulator was in its day. Don't even ask about the frame rates!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Military skins - WWII Description: This is a repaint for use with either the payware Warbirdsim "Restored Part 2" or "Mustang Tales" products. This repaint depicts TF-51D (P-51D-25-NT) 44-84847 "Contrary Mary", as it appears today, registered as G-TFSI, owned by Anglia Aircraft Restorations and operated by Ultimate Warbird Flights, based at Sywell and Duxford, England. This particular aircraft started off life in the late 1990's as a new-build airframe based on the identity of a Korean War-vet F-51D. The aircraft was originally completed in 2007 by Fighter Rebuilders for Stephen Grey (The Fighter Collection), painted as "Miss Velma" and based at Duxford, and then was sold to Anglia Aircraft Restorations in 2016. It was...

Oh boy, the Solomons are in a bad need for a fix up. The problem is that it is so big that I hardly know where to start. Cheers, Mark

Try increasing the Null Zone of the rudder axis ONLY. Slightly, not a lot. You may have some "noise" on the rudder channel. All the others should be real close to full left (0), with the "Sensitivity" full right (maximum). Do you allow the installer install the .NET Framework required? Do you have the Yaw Damper OFF? Are you certain that the autopilot is OFF? Every AP function, not just one or two. Do you have the FSX default flight, the trike over the Friday Harbour, IIRC, your sim's default flight, not a saved flight? If not, make that your default, and only load in the Hornet once the Freeflight page is totally loaded. Did you install the correct Hornet? There is one specifically for P3D V4 and up, and one for FSX and P3D v3 and below. Are you running the sim as...

Thank you Don, and for posting that photo, Marcel - note the lady standing by the tail, stunned by being nudged in the arm by the elevator as the young man in the cockpit pulls the stick back. "Creating Contrary Mary", an article on reproducing the paint scheme on the restored TF-51D G-TFSI (note how they applied the yellow on the canopy frame, to help make the TF canopy frame look smaller/more stock): https://vintageaviationecho.com/mustang-contrary-mary/

Thank you Marcel and thank you Bob! I have just uploaded it here. The markings, to me, make it look like a race car. This particular paint scheme was never worn in combat. In the summer of 1945, post VE-Day, Col. Roy Caviness was reassigned from commanding the 361st Fighter Group to commanding the 78th Fighter Group (swapping places with Col. John Landers, who went from commanding the 78th to commanding the 361st). Col. Caviness took with him P-51D-10-NA 44-14251 from the 376 FS, 361 FG (which had previously been assigned to Duane Grounds and coded E9*G). The "Contrary Mary" paint scheme was applied to the aircraft in the summer of '45 for publicity/public relations (the kill markings on the canopy purely fictitious), and the aircraft was photographed in these markings at an open...
