Hi kids... Does anyone remember the best scenery/texture update to replace the farm/English countryside with plain green and trees for the Italian mountains? I know I used to have it years ago but I'll be goshdarned if I can remember how... Thanx in advance and Cheers

Hello Aleatorylamp, My suggestion there is DO NOT flatten the back of Nacelle on the underside just to apply an Insignia Part. If you apply the Insignia Part "below flush" with the surface of the Nacelle, it will look just fine because even on detailed examination, it will be difficult to tell that it isn't even with the bottom of the Nacelle. If you flatten out the Nacelle, you will cause more texturing problems when texturing the Nacelle. You will be unable to properly texture it Right-Left without having a single pixel extend across the entire Structure. (Just my recommendation.)

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - German Description: Heinkel He-59 skinpack by UncleTgt This is a collection of repaints for the revamp of the Piloto Azul He-59 by Shessi for CFS2. Included are modified dp files (MISC DATA changed to kph, gun data changed for AI performance, more payload options). I've revamped the damage effects & changed the descriptions from Spanish to English. I've revised the airfile to better match published speed & range figures.

Since after aircraft leave the scene, contrails tens to break up a bit and widen, could narrow bands of clouds be made to simulate that effect?

I know I'm not the only one here old enough to remember when the Animated Star Trek Series was the only audio visual Trek series being made, and we were in that long night. I stumbled over these fan-made films while looking for something entirely different. These first two seem to have taken place near the front end of the Enterprise's initial five year mission. Christine Chapel is just joining the crew, and Dr. McCoy hasn't begun calling Kirk by his first name. Another treat for me-we get to see the aqua shuttle, which only appeared in one episode of the original animated series. Enjoy. JAMES

Hello Ivan, Thanks for your reply and your interesting offer for improvement! Re. wheel wells: I was doing them with the lower nacelle textures, but its a bit messy. Their shape below at the back is too sharp a "V" to allow clean lines. Even making corrections on the under-wing texture, it looks blurry. The cleaner solution is to flatten the rear nacelle-bottom, making it as wide as the wheel, and then add black insignia rectangles.

Sorry, don't really know! My version, from about 4 years ago, is 1.07.1522 The FSRealWX Pro is a payware version. The freeware version is no longer supported, so it's use at your risk. My old version still works fine. (if and when I use it!)

Mr. Z - I stopped by the site a while ago and saw this thread. I have the FSRealWX site open right now, have an acct and have downloaded a setup file called FSRealWX v2 2.04.0854. Is this the current version to be installing? I ask because a version called FSRealWX Pro is mentioned but I can not find on this page on the site.

It will include the 450 Pratt and 300 Lycoming, just not sure yet whether the release will be one huge package or multiple smaller ones like we did with the Great Lakes. We will be developing the N2S on floats and A crop duster.

Hello Aleatorylamp, Thanks for the clarifications. I was thinking over how this would fit together and have a slightly revised comment. I think there will be a slight bleed between the extended Flap and the Retracted Main Wheel, but I can't be sure without checking out the angles in AF 99. I downloaded your model but haven't loaded it on the Game Machine to flip it around the simulator yet. I probably should do that, but there is actually quite a lot that can be gathered from your screenshots. (I am at a good breaking point in my project because I got a bit stuck. I know what I want to do but don't know how to do it. Lack of knowledge has that effect sometimes!) Here are a couple more questions: There actually are no "Gear Doors" as such except for...

I'd like to keep this discussion focused on what X-Planes are available - payware, freeware or donationware, whatever. I don't see the need to discuss motivation or incentives. Frankly, I don't wish to second guess any developer on what they choose to create. :p87:
