Micheal must be referring to the model by Monogram: I particularly like the note: "Ask dad for help when you get stuck" And the wings really "flapped". As long as there was power in the battery......

Hi Michael, You may have had a model of Huub's pic, but the Vought XF5U Flying Flapjack was a different ac.... Go get it at FS.com https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=118930.. and re-live the memories (of course if this is the one you're talking about?!) Cheers Shessi

Amazing! I built the plastic model kit of the Flapjack way back in the day. IIRC, I "flew" it all over the house for weeks. I think I remember it having a motor and battery to turn the prop and "flap" the wings (though that could just be historical wishful thinking!). It was a real favorite. I didn't know there was one made for FS9! Thanks for the memory, Huub. :encouragement: Michael

Steam for President if you ask me. Even getting an MS account proved a long winding, annoying exercise, atleast for me. (fancy getting a message that i can't register with an email address from work or school..... sjeeezz, i'm a pensioner! :lemo:) Been reading all about these installation complications and issues of which i encountered non whatsoever myself. Buying from Steam got me flying MSFS within about half an hour without so much as a hickup. Never a problem with the updates installation neither (no need to check Steam, all done within MSFS). My advice would certainly be Go with Steam. 110% :encouragement:

Jamie, yes the FS2004 Aircraft section could do with some more categories - perhaps along the lines of the Skins section. By the way, where is Wozza/AuMav's Wirraway hiding? Thanks, Kevin

Andrew, I went through Stefano's category and found only a handful of aircraft/skins which needed duplicating. Do the propexhdp downloads need duplicating? Cheers, Kevin

There are several updates available in the Content Manager. I'm not sure if they're related to the 1.10.7.0 patch, but they're all part of the Japan update. Open the CM and instead of scrolling and searching, just click the Check All box and then the Update Selected button at the bottom. It took around 30-45 seconds for my system to d/l and install everything.

@Jeansy, thx for showing us textures. Right, they are correct and looks great! Nice! VC is too darker, but its P3Dv5 lighting issue (his HDR). Do you use 5.1v? Very well! :applause:

Great - it is now available P3DV5, excellent. I will give them 10/10 for one thing - they are the first to model mooring lines and buoys, nice touch long overdue. ON my list for a few weeks time.

Ok got it started, a bit of engine management to keep the smoke down and now trying a 1300nm flight Overall im happy, bit on the pricey side, but beautifully done models and several paints and a hands on approach, theres far worse out there.

the concerns about the textures for v5 are redundant, they have aligned their PBR to v5 standards its not a control+e model, there is some reading to do
