Thanks for the input. I looked at the Scenery Tech offering but it covers such a wide area I'm concerned it may conflict with my Orbx products, including the Australia and NZ regions that I own. Ideally I'm looking for something JUST for New Guinea that would work outside the Orbx areas already covered. BendyFlyer, I hear you; I did make an honest effort to search for such scenery and thus far nada, hence my appeal here. I would also agree with your comment that the inland areas are not too bad. Wish I could get rid of the yellow sand mountains and hills as a start however. Oh well. BTW I use Freemesh which appears to work well and is more detailed than the Holger Mesh for PNG.

All this talk about the B-25 is giving me the urge to fly it again! I have the MAAM-SIM B-25 FSX version stored away somewhere but I can not recall what the file name should be. Does anybody happen to recall what it is and if I can't find it does anybody know if I can redownload from them?

Hi All! Awhile ago my wife spent 2- 1/2 months away helping with grandchildren. When she returned she said that I could take a vacation. I opted to take a vacation without leaving home! This is what I did:

Right here at SOH: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/110833-Bombardier-CL-415-quot-Superscooper-quot-fixed-version-zip Make sure you read the manual carefully when installing, as you'll need to replace and remove some files for FsX/p3Dv3. Edit: A CL215 is available here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/109709-Canadair-CL-215-P3Dv4-zip

Hi Dave. Thanks for the tip. It was just a diffuse color change only, the static ingame daylight (lights off) display and I used MDLMatXX to make the changes. They are the landing signal lights, bottom aft fuselage. The stock colors were so bright, very distracting, and you definitely wouldn't take a screen shot with those lights showing. I almost decided to uninstall it but gave it one more try. There doesn't seem to be any negative effects of the change that I've seen so far.

If you want to give Werneuchen some protection, don't forget the flak over Germany scenery that Brent "dogknot" Hricziscse put in the library back in 2010. It includes numerous flak sites, at least one near Berlin, not all that far from Werneuchen. Close enough for FS I guess... http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=112&id=343 :rocket:

Two things. First, are these nav lights? if so you can swap them for better ones. I tend to use the Milviz ones when I make lighting changes. Second, if the lights have visibility conditions, making changes with the visibility conditions in place can screw up the model badly. You could try setting the visibility conditions to 'none', make the changes, save and exit MCX. Open up again, make the visibility condition changes and save. It's a trick Henk (hschuit) taught me a few months ago; for years I'd get corrupted models if I tried making too many changes to models, especially where weapons with loadout visibility conditions were involved. MCX seems to hate changes being made to parts with visibility conditions active. Worth a try - no guarantees!
