Check out Mike Pook's updated panel over at Simviation. This is the one I use on mine. For me his panel look's more realistic. Robert

Spectactular stuff! Love the idea of recreating big days and/or famous raids from the Battle, like the historical missions included in BoB2!

Yes, thanks for those contact points. They do work great. There are two remaining issues as far as using in P3Dv4 are concerned. First, a couple of the skins that are provided, "BFU" and "USAF", are provided as 8-bit bmp files which screws up the specularity and results in excessive brightness. If you have imagetool, just convert these to DXT5 format and save with their existing names and bmp extensions. The textures for the base skin "C-NORS" are already in this format and work fine. Second, I edited the panel.cfg file to replace gauges taken from the 32-bit p47d and f4u1a gau files, as well as the extra-300 file which I don't have. I think I now have a full panel, using only gauge containers referenced or provided in Brian's package. Below is my replacement text for...

Sorry Braveheart, don't recall, however, I don't believe it was from Groundcrew Design Groups Brit weapons pack. I eventually got smart and added notes to my individual ac folders so I could recall what mods I made to each plane before backing them up. Perhaps someone may recognize this and be able to tell from which weps pack it belongs? Wep_Bri_250lb_Bomb Kind regards, TW

Robin, When Akemi suddenly passed away in 2013, permission was asked to his daughter to upload Akemi's work here at the Sim-Outhouse. As his models were primarily done for CFS2, they can be found in the "CFS 2 - Akemi Legacy Add-Ons" section. ( http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=174 ) For several models there a fs2004 tweak was done. As these tweak were often placed in the threads, most of them are very hard to find. But for the Boomerang there is one in the library done by OBIO ( http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=8&linkid=7743 ) The textures by Morton can be found here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=58&linkid=709 and here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=58&linkid=708 ...

Try to redo your hard platform like Ed has done making it 30 wide instead of 3 and 60 long instead of 20 and see if covering the whole aft end of the ship makes a difference. Otherwise, I would go and post in the P3D forum and ask THEM why it doesn't work when you followed the P3D SDK exactly. I don't know what else to tell you. Let someone here (besides Ed) who uses P3D V4.5 advise you if they can make it work with the launch entries. If you make your stern a "flight deck" platform it might make a difference, I don't know. Is that true for either the Kingfisher OR the Seagull?

I assume item #1 concerns the key commands in P3D V4 Takeoff assist (arm/disarm) Shift + I Launch bar (extend/retract) Shift + U The seaplane (for me) has to be slewed to the cat. Having done so, the take off/launch bar commands do not work - I tried that before. When I use those commands after I have rolled the nose wheel over a carrier cat shuttle, the bridles show and I can launch.

I recently decided to fire up Cfs1, and after changing some of the skins and cockpit textures, I loaded the first mission of Waco Jaco's BoB hurricane experience campaign. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this session and the overall atmosphere of Cfs1 in spite of the retro graphics or maybe because of it. Pj's skins for stock aircraft are a must have. I lightened the hurri and spit textures slightly. Here is a video showcasing a mission from this campaign, and an old sim that can still be entertaining after all of these years. Please excuse my non existent combat skills. The campaign documentation:

They are CFS2 planes in the majority ; that also work in fs2004 (you'll need to add the various lines into the aircraft.cfg file for variation etc; and remove the cfs2 dp file) You can find them here http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=174 and here's the archiving thread http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/84961-Akemi-s-aircraft-production-salvage ttfn
