My thanks to the publisher and the OP for this scenery news. One of the best small airport renderings I have seen. If only all airports could look this good.

Seems there is a problem with that file. I'll upload a fresh model to my site in a day or two. Here is a " sendspace" link in the meantime. RobR

Good afternoon, Here is the full skinny for those who want the whole kit-and-kaboodle... I am doing okay. The surgery went well, they were able to do a venous angioplasty that dilated my venous system to 18mm, which has significantly relieved some of the pressure on my legs. It was too dangerous to do both (putting stents in) at the same time, for the reason that if my veins were to re-constrict with the stents in it could cause serious complications. So I will likely have to fly out either in January or February to be reevaluated. I had some unexpected problems with nosebleeds, which required two trips to the emergency room the same night after I was released. The nosebleed was significant, lasting over four hours and would not stop on its own, ...

Amazing what medical science can achieve. Seriously though, glad to hear that you are past this first stage. This time next year you'll be a new man.

Thank you Ian! There is quite a plethora of photos, many in color, taken at Mount Farm of a wide range of USAAF aircraft during the war years - a real hub of activity. Many aircraft that were based there, but also a lot of aircraft that were always just passing through - photo-recon Spitfires, photo-recon Lightnings, photo-recon and pathfinder Mustangs, P-47's, B-17's, B-24's, B-25's, B-26's, A-26's, AT-6 group hacks, C-47's and other transport and liaison types all could be seen there at any given time. It was obviously used as a meeting place for many of the various 8th AF Groups, likely due to its very central nature. More than a couple hundred fantastic photos, many in color, taken of aircraft seen at Mount Farm during the USAAF years can be seen here:...

Hey Jan, its a very nice one. Thank you! on his 50th birthday, former Luftwaffe Ace Adolf Galland buys himself a Beechcraft Bonanza. He name it "The Fat One". It was a Beechcraft J35 Bonanza, D-EHEX (c/n D- 5580), of the year model 1958. Galland Industrieberatung GmbH in Bonn bought D-EHEX from Keller & Co Diamantenschleiferei und Juwelenfabrik in Frankfurt on 15 March 1962, this via Beech dealer Travelair Bremen. Galland owned "his fat Bonanza" until 1980. In April this year, the company announced a sale for 50,000 DM and had a sale time of 2320 hours. It was a very short time, it was only a short time ago. At the top of the list it was advertised that this course (via Egle Air Service GmbH in Baden-Baden) was priced at a full DM 32,000.
