I went looking for an up to date KATL and found a really nice P3D 2020 over at AVSIM which I downloaded and then with the aid of ADEx compiled for FSX and renamed the CVX and OBJ files and it worked perfectly. I have permission from Joseph Kaiser who with permission did the conversion from the 2016 version to P3D share it when its done. Ed Akridge has added the Delta Hanger properly marked which he created. I am currently with the aid of Google Earth and the Airport chart bringing it up to 2021. The buildings are from FSX default which are well done shapes and textures. That also keeps the frame rates down. Google Earth shows all of the runways, ramps and gates marked with painted boxes on the surface but after creating them in Sketchup and placing them, when I opened up the airport...

Devildog73 Thanks for the response. There are a few trails you mentioned haven't gone down yet. I see a couple of clues to my problem. I was getting pretty tired of messing with this particular a/c. I did find the player a/c and the air.cfg title had : DH 98 in the title and 98 DH in the player a/c. That still didn't fix it. Back to work on it tomorrow with your tips.

Rams, Doing as well as I can be for a guy twice retired substitute teaching every day since Christmas break ended. I'm retired!!!!!! NOT supposed to be working every day! Now open gyms for our basketball teams after school twice a week for 2 hours each! Had 20 boys there this afternoon! LOL

highpockets, I do not alias anything to another aircraft, ever. I put Mosquito panels and sounds in the BSK_MosquitoNFII. I make sure the missions aircraft called for and aircraft names are exactly the same. I use Jones QC Editor to make sure the MosquitoNFII is functioning in Quick Combat. I make sure the BSK_MosquitoNFII is listed in both Descript.dat and mdlnames. I know this is a bit overboard for some of our friends here in the basement, but I leave nothing to chance. I highlight, copy and paste the aircraft name from the DP and AIR files so that I know they are exactly the same.

I don't know what their screen names will be, but please give them a warm basement welcome and help them get going in our CFS2 world.
