I had a look at the Alpha TSR2 a couple of years ago but it was beyond my very limited MCX capabilities. But as part of that exercise, I bought a nice monograph on it and did a stencil walkaround on the one at Duxford. Had another look this week but there are, for me, a number of issues I can't seem to resolve. First there are lights that are built in and I can't remove (they don't show up in MCX). Second the nosewheel extension is modelled (:encouragement:) which means the whole model is an animation and more difficult to work with (:banghead:). Added to which the model itself is showing its age. So, for these reasons, I'm awaiting Rob Richardson's version and I'm out! DaveQ

Fantastic looking model and a badly missed piece of flying heritage. Thank you for putting her on our radar.

Hello, Using the same method used to determine distance unit being used, I measured Pas de Calais airstrip. The width is 80 m and the length 2000 m. By the way, this is the same length and width as any other custom airstrips. I already knew that by other methods but, curiously, the length was giving me 1999 from one side and 2001 from the other. If any one has an idea of how this would happens, feel free to comment here. The width was 80-80 from both sides. This is a small discrepancy, but an annoying one for sticklers like me.:banghead:

Actually, #8 has metal skin fuse since it was a crop duster, but I've done it in canvas. Need to add the snaps on the black canvas.

Just to add extra smoke and mirrors to the discussion I've decided to base my new build around the Core9-9980XE, plenty of power OOTB with OC headroom. :pirate:

Hiya Ravenna, Oh yes? I've downloaded it from Simviation Not sure I would even know where to start the "portage". Chris

Hey Carl, I don't know about the gauges in 4.4, I'm still on FSX. I know others have said the sextant works in P3d but I don't know about the versions. Also not sure about the weatherships/hfdf gauge. There's been recent discussion on the A2A forum of people using them though, and I'm guessing most folks are on P3d now so if they're still using em then your odds are good. I'm stopping in Manila, since that's where the big clippers stopped and reversed the trip. A smaller Sikorsky boat stayed out there and ran the last leg of the service to Hong Kong. It would have been a waste to use the big ocean-crossing boats on that run. So in the interest of historical accuracy, we're done in Manila. (I think there is an S42 available at CalClassic though if someone wanted to do it......

Thanks, guys, for the valuable info. Yes, the case I'm considering is Corsair Obsidian 500D RGB SE and it will support 360mm radiator, like CORSAIR Hydro Series H150i PRO.

Very Nice.... Those Colors go so well with each other. Kind of reminds me of "Old School" National Parks Service colors.

Hi Cazzie, If memory serves, there is one texture called "Spinner.bump", and then there are smaller spinner textures for blurred and slow versions of the spinner on the texture "Stabilizers.bmp" . I hope that can help. The FSDS models that the FS9 models were made from don't exist anymore, and so unfortunately I can't check the mapping other than the above. Mike

Chris, Somewhere at the back of my mind there is a vague recollection that Rockster did an Argosy. I have found an excellent looking Armstrong Whitworth Argosy 200 for FS2004 at Simviation. A little portage should get you in the cockpit!

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - American Description: I removed the 2D panel Improved FDE as to compromise between a good Fighter Bomber and behave fairly well on Autopilot Arranged and modified VC gauges to exact as possible per photos and memory. The prototype Meteor came by way of my old FSDS Mk 3 which, using MCX, I converted to a form “Blender” could use. So it is really a re-build/re-hash of an old model broughtup to date.
