Thanks again, guys! Yes, there's quite a few "retro" schemes I would loved to have seen in real life. Thankfully, virtual paint is free! I've finished the entire series. I'm calling it the TBD Series, since I chose to honor the seven torpedo squadrons operating Douglas TBDs during the early World War 2 years. There's seven paints representing the carrier air groups active at the beginning of the war. Five are in the pre-war high visibility scheme. The remaining three wear variations of the blue gray scheme worn by Navy aircraft prior to 1943. So now I have a question. I was planning to fiddle with these paint for my own enjoyment, but the whole project ran out of control. I've gotten enough community interest and help to to feel like I should upload the finished product. So...

I know I'm probably the last one to the party, but I finally picked up this gem in the Alabeo sale (have been meaning to get this one for years). It is gorgeous!

Fabulous. As in "fabulous; I'm on conference calls all day and I can't download this until tonight!" :biggrin-new: Re the AB effects, yes, some updated ones would be ideal, and shouldn't be too hard to sort. I recall vaguely back in the FSX / portover days that I had added effects like those that Postbaer has. I think the solution was to move them further forward - I'm pretty sure it was fixable. I think another issue was that they "bled" or "leaked" light outside the fuselage. I'll have to look into this tonight or tomorrow. Another thing I'd like to start tinkering with is both acceleration, top speed, and roll rate, all of which I always believed was excessive. Obviously, that's no reflection on PJ's great work, but it might be worth having a chat about that. ...

Is the correct sequence for the installers to run the main installer (and the textures) then the keyless one? I've got the updates to both from SimMarket, and I still get kicked to demo mode after a while.

Good to hear! The only other issue I encountered is that the APU Hobart is all shiny as well. It's the same way in TJ Stanley's original textures so I don't think there's a way to fix it. Luckily the APU is just eye candy so it's not much of an issue.

Thank-you, for the fix, @Foofighter7. It took me a while to see this 'backwards writing' thing , .... hard to notice from the VC when flying ....... and, if you're on the wing to notice it, then who's flying the plane ? :uncomfortableness: This repaint quickly became my new screensaver.

Yes, doing it this way will remove the modern large transports from being available to the traffic file. Other planes used in the traffic file will still fly around though. If you want to track down the planes that the traffic file uses, opening it in AIFP is an easy way to look at it. To completely remove all stock P3D traffic, the easiest way would be to just spike the traffic file so that it can't open, by renaming the file extension. I usually just add .OLD to it. The file is located in Prepar3d\Scenery\world\scenery

Free is good, but I gotta say this is the most confusing piece of aircraft I've ever encountered! Three different downloads to obtain it! And nowhere is this mentioned in the docs. One has to wonder if the end justifies the means. Must be some interesting developers at work at SSW...Thank you for offering it up in this time of craziness though, much appreciated. Yes, Torretta has been finished and edakridge has totally acclimated it into FSX@War in the 461st BG Campaign which we will be using for all our missions on our dedicated server. I used the photos from the 461st BG Reunion site and plotted each hard stand all 100. (Took me days in ADEx and almost got carpel tunnel LOL) It works on all flight sim platforms including P3DV4+ which he uses. We have flown test flights from it at least 10 times now and are waiting now for the B24J from Flight Replicas. You can see in another post the repaints I am redoing from those done for the Virtavia B24J. We would love to have you join us. We will be flying the new Flight Replicas B24J as soon as it is available and released. Go to the website: https://tgycgijoes5.wixsite.com/liberaiders and check it...
