There is a great freeware Douglas C-117D by Mannfred Jahn which has several fuel transfer pump switches and I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be possible to assign commands to them to transfer fuel. Seems like a pretty simple thing to do, but glancing through the commands in the P3D scenery design kit, it looked like that might not be an option. Anyone have some insight? And is there a good way to disable steering with the rudder? As far as I know it is steered by thrust and brakes, like any other taildragger. Thanks, Chris

Eye candy is nice but realistic systems and fight model is very important to me, hence my loyalty to P3D. The visuals get better with every update! Glad to see some supporters remain! I have and enjoy some of Spad54ís vintage machines! I would love a SR-71 and B-58 for P3DV5! Are either of those compatible?

A fully loaded Strling with a gross weight of 70K plus, as NachtPiloted says " it would be a cow in the air and take a bunch of runway to get up'.:wiggle: The bomb loads, and fuel loads for CFS3 models need some work, which we may find time for; in the future. Meanwhile this Stirling fully laden, needed the whole runway, flaps. and intermittent WEP use to wallow into the air. Any real trim was impossible until a reasonable speed of over 150 mph was achieved!

Release will be around Valentine's Day, with luck. Rather than post more videos and photos on Screenshots for the moment, I will put future ones here. This is a draft readme for the whole install. there are many other documents!

It will not be popular what I write. P3Dv5 is a LOOOOT better platform for simulations of many aspects than MSFS, but (most) people fly for graphics primarily (sorry), and not for systems and quality of simulations, which unfortunately is poor. Unfortunately it's the truth. P3D offers a lot better reality than MSFS but the graphic wins. It is also not the fault of the developers, they go where there is more money. ;>

Pete, I have checked, but the MAIW library had one .bgl file less than the latest one at the MAIW site. However installing this didn't solve the problem. I have checked again and wasn't 100% sure I had the library by Sidney Schwartz, but I did. Driving over the airfield didn't give any clues, however where I expected to find the technical /instructional buildings, I found these somewhat odd structures. Hopefully this gives you a clue. Cheers, Huub

Cannot help our vis a vis 4.5 and V5. I have only been with V5. I get flawless smooth operation (at 60 knots or M 1.04) the installer now sets affinity mask and HT for you based on your hardware specs and it sets my FPS at 30. I leave that alone, if the whole sim performance is smooth and very normal who cares what the FPS rate is or could be not its going to look any different? I have an NVIDIA card so I also get the NVIDIA wave motion in my sim which you don't get if you do not have an NVIDIA capable card. I have installed a variety of V4 models into the sim (I use a registry hack due to the fact that many developers stopped providing updates support etc past V4) There may be the odd model that had some underlying software incompatibility (I think FSL and PMDG are prone to these...

I just closed MSFS, but here is a review that shows the pit. It's very good, but at times a bit dark. Many, many functional click spots.
