Have to agree with Kurt and Willy. Chasing a P-47 in an FW-190 and having it try to climb straight up like a Super Chipmunk Aerobatics plane is enough to make you wince. You'd figure after so long MS would't care if the source code got out.

Then I assume the motor to be a Genet or Genet Major and if this aeroplane postdates the Peto, my only other thought is a Blackburn Bluebird. However to postdate the Peto, it would have to be a Bluebird IV. But the fin and rudder doesn't look right for a Bluebird IV, and the only British registered floatplane version of this, of which I'm aware, was the Gipsy powered G-ABGF. The only Genet Major powered Bluebird IV, of which I'm aware, was a landplane and Australian registered, namely VH-UOC. The photograph looks much more like a Genet powered Bluebird II. The only floatplane version of this, of which I'm aware, was G-EBSW. But this aeroplane dates from 1927 (although it was not converted to a floatplane until 1930), whereas the two Petos apparently date from 1929/30, and in the...

***Big One Today*** Dear Customers, Today we release the Open Beta with several high priority issues for the Hornet AIM-9 family which were discovered yesterday. However, I decided to release this OB because it delivers significant changes made by our partners to the aircraft that are very important for you and we prepared new features for Hornet and Viper. The issues will be fixed and updated during the coming week. Sincerely, Kate Perederko Chief Operating Officer DCS World AIM-120 missile. The probability of countermeasure spoofing returned to the old value.

Hello all, I've downloaded the file FS 2004 AI Spitfies.zip from http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=114& id=22689. Both planes, the MK1-A and MK5-B are great and work fine as AI planes. I made myself a p‚intkit for them so I can repaint them as I wish. The only part I can't repaint is the propeller, I can't find it anywhere on the bmp files that come with the download.

So right! Being stuck in a 6 week hard lockdown makes it almost impossible to get hold of anything, let alone the newer hardware. Both my sources sold out immediately when the NVIDIA 3 Series arrived, not that I was even considering them. Even basic stuff is hard to get hold of and then it's all online ordering and courier delivery. I can run MSFS as my newest build can handle it but it makes sense to me to wait for a few months until some of the basics are sorted. Stay safe. :encouragement:

You're in the right area, Mike, but this was designed a little later than the Parnall, and purely as a civilian aircraft. You are also correct about the Armstrong-Siddeley engine, although a slightly different model. From a well-known company.

Hi Bendy, I think your comments are some of the most intelligent I have yet seen posted on this subject, and there is no shortage of such comments. My rig should be able to handle FS20 but I am waiting till the holidays to get it. I figure that way I can skip over a few patches and maybe there will be a warbird or a propliner available by then from somebody. Both P3D4 and FSX are still installed and will be for some time. Based on what I'm seeing of FS20, it would only take the availability of maybe half a dozen planes - say (1) any WWII fighter, (2) DC-3, (3) "real airplane" like Stearman/Waco/Travel Air, (4) Connie or other propliner, (5) subsonic jet fighter like Sabre/Hunter/Mig-15, (6) turbo trainer like a Tucano or PC-9, to get me to shift the MAJORITY of my sim time to the...

A long shot ..... but could that be the second Parnall Peto, G-ACOJ, which, despite being allocated that registration mark, never materialised on civvy street? The circumstantial evidence is right - G on the tail, five cylinder radial, floats, folding wings - but the wing bracing is wrong and I was unaware that this aeroplane had been photographed in civilian guise.
