Old timers like me, simulloyd and gray eagle, will remember 2016 and all the efforts we put into this NAS, my first and most ever complex scenery. A lot of improvements in computers have been done since then. We have all learned a lot but I think it's still quite an achievement and so do others who have asked me for a link to it because the FREE dropbox links in the old thread are all dead. So, for anyone who has never seen this and is interested, it is native FSX but will maybe work in P3D as well. Maybe I'll upload it and try and see or someone else can and let me know here. This is the final version and I don't intend to do any updates to it having moved on. Without further ado... https://www.mediafire.com/file/3uk6k5b8m6170m9/NAS_Alameda_Final_1965-90_Version.zip/file I...

Just a heads up - Ryan Sundheimer over at the Military Aircraft & Scenery FB Group has released an OEM approved port-over of the MILVIZ T-38A Talon from FSX. Before anyone moans - some switches are not clickable - but it is apparently VR useable. Mod edit - now available to public: https://flightsim.to/file/69888/milviz-t-38-talon-full-aircraft-native-conversion F-86 Download: https://flightsim.to/file/64410/milviz-f-86-sabre-full-aircraft-partial-native-conversion

Do we have any high end HOTAS users here? I recently got the Turtle Beach Velocity One Flight Deck system, and while it's certainly a customizable product, to date I've been less than impressed by TB's support for it. Without taking too much time, it's not recognized within MSFS as a specific product, and there are actual limitations with it like scroll wheels not working for trim or zoom control, and the throttle quadrant display not being as flexible as I was led to believe. My biggest concern is reports of malfunctioning units after a week or two of use. While mine has worked so far, I don't want to be stuck with a lemon after 6 months of use. Anyway, I'm considering returning it before the 30 day trial period ends and ordering something else (like a Virpil or WinWing, etc...)....

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 and reinstalled FS9 I've been getting "permission required" prompts (see screen shot) every time I attempt to modify or copy a file in the sim. It's a show-stopper for making changes inside the sim. If I drag and drop the file onto my desktop and make the change there, I can put the file back in the FS9 aircraft folder and it works but it's a clumsy routine for making simple cfg changes. The permission prompt tells me administrator permission is required but I am the admin for my PC. :banghead: I noticed I now have the same problem in CFS2 but not FSX. I'd like to permanently disable the permissions thing altogether. If anybody can help me it would be much appreciated.

David asked me to ask this question because he thinks I can write more clearly. I dunno about that, but here goes: The VC on our current project has throttles, but they don't work with the mouse. They respond to input from the keyboard or the throttle on the joystick (or yoke) but they won't move for the mouse. This hasn't come up before because our previous projects either didn't have throttles in the VC, or they were down low and off to the side so far that they were hardly noticeable and you wouldn't want to look down like that while flying the plane. On the current plane the throttles are located where you'll see them and might want to work them with your mouse. Can someone explain how to animate throttles in a VC so they can be moved by mouse?

I wonder if there are anyone that still remembers Misty Moorings & Misty Fjords? I had forgotten what fun they are to fly in, & after many years, I've reinstalled them. All good, except in 'Misty's Place' & another field that I just cannot remember, I've got what can be described as tank farms lining the runway. These, I'm sure, should be trees. Anyone come up against this?

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Other Description: Fiat G.50 Series I Unit: Reparto Sperimentale G.50, Aviazione Legionaria, Escalona Spain May 1939 The FIAT G.50 Freccia (Freccia means Arrow in English) was first flown in February 1937. The G.50 was Italy's first single-seat, all-metal monoplane with an enclosed cockpit and retractable landing gear to go into production. Pilots disliked the sliding cockpit canopy, which was not easy to open quickly. So, in later production series, an open cockpit was adopted.

Touchingcloud Airshow Assistant. Anybody ??..... Atleast it *looks* much more versatile than FlightControlReplay. Aircraft don't look like being tied together as much as with FCR. https://youtu.be/uHB4CoIaJ6g?si=f7YYmrAf_gLOFBE0 Oh, and it's free too.... https://msfs.touching.cloud/mods/airshowassistant/?fbclid=IwAR0b6bdd9oqPO6DqXYdO5kZIzg5W67_aa50VWkj7vI1Ktwz00vTrRsNphoQ ( possibly v2.1 is free, v2.2 at Marketplace $4.99, free demo )

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Scenery Add-Ons Description: Wewak Scenery for CFS2 by UncleTgt This is a reworking of the stock sceneries for the area at the NE end of PNG, from Awar westwards as far as But. It is designed for use with Rhumbas mesh, but the scenery excludes provided should mean this works well in a stock mesh install too. This scenery builds on & extends the areas covered in my previous PNG sceneries, but it should work as a stand-alone scenery as well. Contents: New Ground2K scenery for each, including fringing reefs. New airbase scenery, made using FSSC.
